I honestly feel like I'm the only one who likes the duke. (You guys think the backstory was to make us feel bad for him but I believe its to show that there were two sides to a story) Edhart was born an illegitimate child and unlike Reina, (who had a peaceful childhood until the accident) had a horrible childhood full of poison food an assassination attempts. You guys act like that wouldn't have scarred him. Edhart was also mistreated. You guys expect him to act like a mature young man when he wasn't even taught properly (mentioned numerous times). Edhart seems to me to be mentally weak. For good reason too. He did ignore Reina, and take HER child away from her, and seem rather cold when she died. He's owning up to those mistakes and trying to change, he saw the error of his ways and is trying to protect Reina and be a better father. He's finally respecting Reina what more do you guys want? An apology? He doesn't truly know if she's also gone back in time, he can't do that. Im sure he would if he'd find out.
You guys also expect him to listen to his mom, he was literally less than 20 when she warned him, do any of us really listen to our parents warnings? No. :|
It seems to me you guys are hella used to reading manhwas with toxic ML's to the point you can't accept an ML unless he's an absolute angel who makes no mistakes. Its actually so upsetting that you guys act like that man wasn't a victim. And he's doing more to make it up to the FL and their child than I've seen any other ML do. Other ML's are usually cold and arrogant and find different ways to make it up to the FL other than actually acknowledging his faults and changing. Edhart is one of few ML's who are actually changing and you guys take it as the authors way of making us pity him? Are you serious? You act like that man can't also have a tragic backstory wtf. People are like "This story was so interesting and it just got predictable and boring." No baby, this story still has me and a lot of others coming back for more. Just because it doesn't exactly fit your tastes, means its boring. The MC's are only annoying to you because you fail to put yourself correctly in their shoes and understand their perspective and the way they view things. If you really want to leave, do it. Other than that no one needs your little comments talking about how boring it is. If you have no constructive criticism, leave.

At first I thought they were a little annoying then I realized they barely even started their own life in their past life and it's a new world for them so they can only trust each other. I don't blame them for being the way they are because the trauma is real. Yes people do get passed it but for them they are still kids. It'll take a long time for them to trust anyone since they both suffered together a lot together.
Exactly! People always lean on either highschoolers being super dumb or super mature. You guys complaining about the story and the ml as if you thought that this story would be any different from other manhwa’s? You guys are asking for logical common sense from a historical romance manhwa, emphasis on the so called romance part. Anyone could tell from the first few chapters she was going to end up with the duke, and that this story was not going to be a revenge plot one. Also, those of you saying she should be with Cemi/Sammy are not thinking, yes she had feelings for the duke but the whole reason she couldn’t be with him is because her father would never allow it, they would find her and sell her off. Adding some logic to this story, realistically, the happiest ending she would’ve gotten is with the duke. Thats frustrating because yes the duke does love her but thats not enough to excuse the lies and the cutting off of Roxanes budget, and Roxane wouldn’t have gotten her happy ending with anyone but the duke because that is the sad reality of her world. If you guys want good enemies to lovers or romance stories that adhere to modern morals and such there are fluffier mahwas out there to read that might interest you way more than this one.
