The Prince will not ask for annulment of their engagement. But why? I read back and noticed that AFTER meeting Princess Yuriwhatchamacallit, he did not have any thoughts to end their engagement. Even when Luze was asking him, he did not deny it or affirm that he wants to end it. Sure, he does not like her romantically (as she doesn't like him romantically as well) but I think the reason is because he's grown to think that she is turning out to be sort of maybe a friend. And really, being friends with your political marriage partner is better than not having any feelings after all. It explains why he's disgusted with kissing her hand, because they're not really "friends" by the conventional meaning of the word so why shouldn't he be disgusted? Ofc, some of the disgust must stem from the fact that he does not want to get married and kissing the hand of his "fiance" might mean to show that he's already accepting his fate. He's sixteen yrs old, being contrary is ofc par for the course even if he's somewhat mature for his age.

What a riot! I didn't stop smiling even til the end notes HAHAHAHA And I totally agree, Felix tops Claude. Full stop. What I'm on the fence is if Mr. White tops or is it Dark!Claude who'll do the plowing? I mean, Mr. White certainly gives off the feeling that he'll be good at it ya know???? Especially when he has his glasses on. My gosh I'm not even that gay for fictional characters but if I were I'd say fuck me immediately HAHAHAHA

I mean, can we just relish in the fact that unlike so many other manhwas out there that in this kind of situation would have hid the truth from the girls, the boys did not do it and actively told them what's happening. Well, they will hide it in the end ofc (from Dannie, bcs of the accident/ attempted homicide) but up to a point Dannie is supplied with info of what they're actually doing. It's glorious to see a friend group like this these days.

Spoilers...
Tia y Carsein ( + that one dude I don't know the name of) is ambushed OTW home from the estate of the preggy foreign princess. The assassins were trying to kill Tia, one gets a lucky shot in and Carsein gets injured protecting Tia. Thing is, he almost loses his eyes if not for the High Priest (or whatever he is called) healing him. Just thought you peeps deserve a heads up. Bcs boi, was I almost crying at the thought of Carsein losing his eyesight.
Oh! And apparently, as clueless as Tia seems to be to the fact that Carsein is sort of maybe not really but yes trying to (subtly? but maybe not) court her, she does know and by the Gods she still chooses to pursue Ruvel in the end. Sad.

but isn't it sad? That he got the port name wrong EXACTLY bcs he's like Orochi and the traitorous bitchass shitty artist? ONLY in the sense that he fully doesn't know Wano anymore; once bcs of the time travel thing, and twice bcs since coming to the present, he's spent the majority of his time outside of it, and when he was in Wano, he was busy trying to coordinate a rapidly falling apart plan. I mean, kudos to Denjuro and all, but I think it's just sad in the end.

I mean, girl power and all but I can't stomach how she made the engagement happen. Regan OBVIOUSLY does not like her at all, and yet he's being bullied into a marriage he does not want, all for the selfishness of the FL. And she is, such self-centeredness is so appalling, nvm that she is "helping him get funds for his business". To be sure, such characteristics ARE the point of IRL nobles but dear God someone help people understand that bullying someone into marrying you is not at all what Female Empowerment should be.

Well, we read lots of stories about those times and about how women were forced to marry. It's part of history ( and still practiced in some countries) and also a romance story trope. This has reversed it, and I think it's fun. Ofc, I expect him to fall in love with her, that's why this is also fun, I don't think he will be miserable.

Reversed it? Are you talking about how proactive the FL is at breaking her engagement? If so, yes it does. But that is exactly my point. Her proactiveness means that she's bullying someone to marry her, kinda like how the King of Severus was previously using his country to force her to marry him. It's entirely typical of nobles, ofc, and even I am curious why I'm so angry over this but I am so yeah I think I'm gonna stop reading this. Hats off to you peeps who will continue to do so tho. Have fun~

Yes, most of the time I have trouble reading a story where the character I identify with does things that goes against my personal conscience. I suspect that is happening with you. I think, because already with this trope ,( forced marriage/contract marriage ) is something I enjoy reading because in the romance genre it's just a way to force two people together who wouldn't otherwise be together, and they fall in love in spite of it, so I can be along for the ride:) . In this case, and in the time period, she doesn't have a lot of choices to control her own fate. Even her brother smacks her around if she doesn't do what the family wants. Without judgement, I would say the ML 's life will improve when he is with her, so I don't feel sorry for him. But I understand, I hate reading stories where there is cheating, or lying, or even drug use. We all have things that aren't worth it and take it out of the fun category for us personally:)
Aas much as I ship Athy with Lucas, I think this chapter is just full of forced romance. Like, the conversation did not really warrant the "Do you want me to give you a kiss?" reply from Athy considering their previous interactions, even with the context of the convo being about the subject of payment. I mean, Lucas being interested in it CAN be excused with the hints of jealousy he has shown in the past but it still feels off. Even with Felix and Lillian. I don't get why the fuck are the characters suddenly so tactile when the past chapters did not show any sign of them getting closer, emotionally or some other. I hope the next chapters are not going to be rushed romance because for fucks sake, we went through so many damn chapters in Jeannette's POV; what was that torture for if we're going get cliche, rushed romance in the end?????
I think it was sarcastic?? Like she was joking bc she didn’t know what he wanted so
Yes, but even so, I still don't think that it was warranted given the situation she is in. Like, her father is dying, Jeanette is causing it, and Lucas is saying that he can't do anything at the present; then suddenly she says that? Uhm, why not one of the treasures in her personal vaults? Or it could have been phrased like "Then, what do you want in return?". Right? It flows better that way, seeing as Lucas is the one who has been shown to have more attraction. Them being a popular pairing does not excuse forced romance-y dialogues.
