So... Has anyone noticed the flags on Perdel? Like, I like him but damn how Ria narrates her thoughts of him. Almost as if this is only a flashback and suddenly we will be hurled back to her "present" where Perdel has betrayed her father and/or they're on the run. It suddenly hit me, how fucking slow the progress is, more takes on their daily lives instead of the grand political aspect of things. And one thing I learned from reading novels is that when the author (a good one, that is) is downplaying an aspect of the series then it's about to go down.

My favorite arc are Seoul gate arc and the one when he went into rampage because that rank S bastard kidnapped and hurt his friend.
It's hard to "just get a job" in a new place, more so in a foreign country. Coupled with the fact that some companies might prefer young people over an adult in his/her thirties. Even with a good resume, it's not gonna be easy. And then, if they do get married, Ya Eun will have to stop and have a baby because it will be dangerous for her if she gets pregnant at an even older age. After that, taking care of the baby. When will she have the time to get back to doing work? After her child is what? 5 yrs old? She's going to be at what age then? Who's going to hire her at that age? For someone who is in love with her work, that's going be tough for her.
I think it was romantic that chun even gave her the choice to be with him. But at the same time, I don't like that he made that offer to her. Bcs, the same could be said to him. Give up the transfer order to be with Ya Eun, but no one is taking that route, bcs it is work and it will be for his future. So then Ya Eun has to give up HER work for him? Utter BS.

I agree. However, I don't blame him for asking her to marry him. He knew how much she loves her job and he thought a lot about it before asking her because he knew how much she would have to give up. But if there was a slight possibility... I think in his opinion he had to take the chance and say it, because it would've been weirder if he didn't ask at all (like he didn't ask him to marry me did he not take our relationship that seriously kind of thing) also love makes you ask selfish things. So I really don't blame him for asking her to choose. The important part was he never forced her to do anything and they separated because he wanted her to be happy. I'm honestly glad she chose to do the work she loves. And True, it's not easy to "just get a job" like how some ignorant people in the comments section pointed out.
My friend fell in love with a foreigner in her late 40s. After a year of long distance relationship she found a job in his country and moved there. It's been 5 years ago and they still happy together.

Sometimes like this,I really don't understand why people insist to work. Really? Okey ,you can like your job but people shouldn't forget it is for money and happiness. It doesn't mean every woman must work. Or if women work it means they are independent or stronger. You can find lots of hobbies you can spend more efkme with your children, you can spend more time for yourself . BUT I wouldn't rule this story out because of that. From what I can tell, the charactersand basic plot are the same as the original, but there are some major differences. I don't think this story is as sexist as the original.
