SPOILER
As per one of the latest translated chapters of the novel, Ruda is IN FACT a female. Dannie was correct all along and all of us are idiots for not believing in her. Amen.

As I said...
in one of the recent novel chapters, Ru Da is confirmed as female. I didn't pull that info out of thin air. Ru Da had a teeny tiny POV wherein she was notably referred as a "she", not a "he". Go read before you say anything. Here's the link to the chaoter if you're so lazy, you can't even bother to search for it: (remove the spaces obviously)

For a long time now, I've hated Ruvel as the ML so damn much, but now I don't (he's different this timeline afterall). BUT I would still like it if Carsein becomes the ML. See, people are so touchy with the parallel universe / time travel thing, saying insulting things like, Ruvel is not the same person from the 1st timeline, Tia should move on bcs he's not the same one from her memories, etc.; And see, I agree with the moving on part but not with still loving him back. Even if Ruvel is not the same, the memories Tia has of the cruelty of Ruvel is still there. I find it so insulting that people are willing to sweep it under the rug just bcs Ruvel went through hardships as well, completely undermining the fact that as far as Tia is concerned in the first TL, her baby died bcs of Ruvel, Ruvel cheated on her, she was insulted by people bcs of Ruvel, Ruvel killed her father, she died seeing him looking down at her; tho I get it, Tia does not want to relive those memories, yada yada yada but come on, it would be nice for a BIT MORE RECOGNITION OF THE FACT THAT SHE SUFFERED SO MUCH BCS OF RUVEL. But no, the author and the readers have already swept it under the rug, second chances and all. Basically, tldr I'd like it if Tia gets more a backbone in her to kick everyone who insulted her even just once with the help of Carsein, who's been nothing but supportive of her life choices. But no, we'll get a Prince who imposes himself on her (even after reading her letter to Allendis) till the end. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Me too. When I first started reading the first few chapters, and believe me, I was here from the start, I thought that Tia would take the power for herself and make the Empire prosperous. But no, we get none of that and instead gets a Passive Tia who has power but is ultimately reluctant and unable use it fully. Such a shame.

I know, I feel the same way. Since the author decided to ship the prince with Tia from the very beginning, the story is what it is ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
Actually, I feel there were many chances where Tia could have manipulated the situation and break the engagement. Ex: the time when she hears Vitas voice, she could have made use of the situation and make a fake prophecy which would include Jieun. And then figure out the rest of the problems. Since the past events are still fresh in her mind, wouldn’t the normal reaction be to get away as far as possible? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Then again logic is just thrown out the window(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

P.S: we can take Lucia as an example. The FL in the manga made use of her knowledge about the future and changed her fate, even she was dealt with a horrible future during her first life and went through many trials just to try and survive to live in peace.
Which is why I feel Tia could have put in a bit more effort in changing her ‘fate’ if she truly didn’t want to be the empress. Perhaps the author wanted to show that despite the horrible treatment she faced, she is still running on the lingering feelings towards the prince.

Which, I think is not right, seeing as Tia could be a strong, independent wamen without falling into the lady in love trope. The author keeps on saying that Tia's doing what she can to survive but I think the fuck not. The asshat princess is right, Tia keeps on giving mixed signals. Tia wants to break off the engagement but she still ya know stays by the Prince's side. Honestly, as much as I love this, I don't like the character building of the story at all.

I've been reading this from almost the start and still enjoy this to this day, but hot damn is Ria selfish in these latest chapters. She's okay with her father dragging his army everywhere just to search for her; people could die because of her, livelihoods will have been lost bcs of her. bcs even though the manhwa glosses over it, the emperor IS dragging his army everywhere and that will always have a casualty bcs it's basically an invasion. Let's see her be an Empress when the folks inevitably still remember her as that one princess who was so selfish she ran away and let the emperor wreck havoc everywhere as he was looking for her. And, she's even dragging the white haired dude with her SELFISH desire of running away from problems she's had a hand in creating. Tsk tsk.

Alright. Why does the Shuli resemble the Late Empress? Who knows, certainly not me. But what I do think as to the reason why Shuli was chosen as Johannes' bride is because she looks like the late empress. Johannes somehow knew that his brothers and sister are not to be trusted with his family after he's gone so he forced the Royal fam to intercede and help Shuli (bcs Johannes is a close friend of the emperor and he most likely knew something about the late empress). I mean, why else did he need to get a teen bride who is not at all related to their family, when he can just appoint one of his bros and/or sistah as the regent for Jeremy? If I'm right, kudos to him bcs he did the right thing.

Yeah I get the feeling that the empress did some political move that got her killed or imprisoned or some shit. And that the empress is related to Shuli and in order to quell rebellion from those wanting to use the Empress' relatives as spear heads for their cou, Johannes took the initiative by marrying Shuli and thus putting her and probably more importantly her relatives, on the Emperor's side

I do not like Jennette, no matter how "good" she is in the perspective of Athy. Coz (1) she's horribly naive for someone who grew up thinking that she's a hidden princess (bcs, cmon, POLITICS dearie) (2) she's self-centered, as can be seen by the strange focus on herself in her dialogues (3) if she really did want to help Athy then she'd have brought Athy up when she's with Claude, but she's too scared to do it (please, some concern can be understood seeing as she was invited to Athy's tea parties). I have a couple more but those are just the ones on top of my head right now.

Yeah not a big fan of her either, but I feel it's also how she's been brought up and conditioned (see how mr white treats her). She does seem pretty selfish, the wanting to keep athy for herself as well as what you brought up with Claude, being aware of athys situation yet still regularly meeting up with him. It seems like she just wants to keep these relationships to herself with her as the sole focus..doesnt seem lik a lot is going on in her head lol

who'd have thought? well, maybe Jennette should have! (1) a strange guy suddenly approaches her, a lone girl that obviously came from a wealthy fam, and points out to her what to give to her friend (2) there is magic in their world, if she had any presence of mind at all, given her position, she wouldn't accept anything from a stranger at all, much less someone who went out of their way to seem approachable.

... but the light novel was better in portraying how awesome Jin Woo coming in into that situation is. I feel like the gravity of the situation was lessened when I saw this chapter. Example, the beast transformer was in the middle of a literal hoard of ants by himself when Jin Woo came. The Tank guy was supposed to have been covered in blood, with a concusion when Jin Woo came. The camera director? Had his shoulder ripped apart before Jin Woo forced a potion in his throat. The mage guy was supposedly half? unconcious NOT fighting when Jin Woo came. But in this chapter, it almost feels like they weren't in that much danger at all. I mean kudos to the artist for a job well done with the group shots but if this is how it'll portray my 2nd fav arc in SL then I'm not expecting much for the school massacre arc OR the Japan Arc.

The thing foreshadowed in the anime by Garp will come true? The thing that only the relevant Marines should know? Something about being scarier than either the worst gen or the yonkos. A V-something? Will that mean that there would soon be a four-way battle (war) in or past Wano? Strawhat-Hearts Alliance vs Beasts vs Big Mom vs Marines? And how will that factor in Blackbeard? I just don't know anymore >.<
I mean, girl power and all but I can't stomach how she made the engagement happen. Regan OBVIOUSLY does not like her at all, and yet he's being bullied into a marriage he does not want, all for the selfishness of the FL. And she is, such self-centeredness is so appalling, nvm that she is "helping him get funds for his business". To be sure, such characteristics ARE the point of IRL nobles but dear God someone help people understand that bullying someone into marrying you is not at all what Female Empowerment should be.
I think the point is that Regan treats women badly so she is returning the favor?? Idk it unsettled me too but I decided to stop reading into it.
I don't think this is suppose to be famale empowerment, it's more like she trying to use the ml to get out of her engagement. i can agree that people might not like how she manipulates and use her family money/power to get the ml to marry her. But honestly I like the fl she seems really interested.
What chapter did you see regan treating women badly.
I can go back and look but he threw the woman to the floor, calls them sluts whores and bitches for no reason, and I feel like there were others but I’ll check.
I agree
Well, we read lots of stories about those times and about how women were forced to marry. It's part of history ( and still practiced in some countries) and also a romance story trope. This has reversed it, and I think it's fun. Ofc, I expect him to fall in love with her, that's why this is also fun, I don't think he will be miserable.
Reversed it? Are you talking about how proactive the FL is at breaking her engagement? If so, yes it does. But that is exactly my point. Her proactiveness means that she's bullying someone to marry her, kinda like how the King of Severus was previously using his country to force her to marry him. It's entirely typical of nobles, ofc, and even I am curious why I'm so angry over this but I am so yeah I think I'm gonna stop reading this. Hats off to you peeps who will continue to do so tho. Have fun~
Yes, most of the time I have trouble reading a story where the character I identify with does things that goes against my personal conscience. I suspect that is happening with you. I think, because already with this trope ,( forced marriage/contract marriage ) is something I enjoy reading because in the romance genre it's just a way to force two people together who wouldn't otherwise be together, and they fall in love in spite of it, so I can be along for the ride:) . In this case, and in the time period, she doesn't have a lot of choices to control her own fate. Even her brother smacks her around if she doesn't do what the family wants. Without judgement, I would say the ML 's life will improve when he is with her, so I don't feel sorry for him. But I understand, I hate reading stories where there is cheating, or lying, or even drug use. We all have things that aren't worth it and take it out of the fun category for us personally:)
Idk maybe because I hate the ml I think he deserves it ╮( ̄^ ̄)╭
