Well. It looks like Mingwa really does suck in writing and uses the stupidest tricks to lure teen girls with their brains drown in hormones in. Why creating a decent story and thinking about flow, character development, plot arcs etc, when you can throw a "concerned glance from jk"-"excessive blushing of dan" bone to the audience and that alone will make them melt.
I just, unfortunately, have to admit that me and a lot of clearly thinking people here were right about the path Mingwa would take from now on with this project.
Lazy. Pathetic. Toxic. Abuse-praising. Built on boring and unoriginal, yet commercially profitable artstyle. Aimed on some thirsty folks who would love it even if it was just an NSFW art book without all these telling-the-story attempts.
At this point the only thing Mindwa can do to make this story unpredictable is to kill one of ml in a freak accident or involve some alien invasion with the plot, for God's sake. All the other scenarios are so obvious and LAZY that it's totally disrespectful towards readers.

Life is different, people stories are different, the reality we live in is more on the terrifyingly unfair and strange side where common sense and morals got lost, misinterpreted or manipulated one way or another. And the psychology of love or, rather, addiction is a whole different and extremely complex story.
That's why it's so funny to see low rating as a reaction to a story depicting human stupidity, corruption and egocentric nature through cheating and hypocritical possessiveness.
Is the seme garbage? Oh yes
Does the uke need to leave this piece of shit in his past all alone and miserable? Of course
Is it the only scenario possible? Oh hell no
And this sickening scenario presented deserves to exist as a story too so down voting it just because it's objectively immoral and not right is nothing but infantile

I'm so pissed on Chunwoo. Fucking motherfucker, you've already destroyed Ho-in and broke his heart for no reason other than your unwillingness to drop the victim act and stop torturing this pure boy, and now when you are finally happily together you do all this shit, ignoring the fact you've already made Ho-in insecure and paranoid after you went and fucked your old flame like an egocentric moron you are.
But you want to see the man you supposedly love lose shit again? And you are even fucking use his best friend without a single worry and a pang of consciousness.
Ho-in deserves way better. And Woojin doesn't deserve being treated like that by Ho-in, because having doubts in Chunwoo is OK as he has shown what he is capable of, but Woojin on the other hand never has given a reason to doubt his loyalty to Ho-in. Wake up, dude, it's friendly (lol) fire

I can overlook typical bl abusive and rapy cliches if there is a decent story behind with evolving characters and entertaining conflicts. Really had high hopes for this one after simple yet thought-through BJ Alex. But the latest chapters were like a wake-up call. Not because something of significance happened, but because I've got this uneasiness I've been feeling since the 1st chapter figured out finally.
It feels like the author couldn't care less about this project.
Don't get me wrong - the production level is top notch, but there's nothing but emptiness.
Zero character development. No chemistry between the MCs and honestly - instead of utterly unrealistic and boring sex scenes I'd rather there were a bunch of meaningful, plot driving scenes.
Kim Dan was kind of likeable at the beginning (or it was just pity), JK was keeping us burning - cruel, mysterious, hurt physically and for sure - emotionally. Pretty good premise for the story.
And yet... it's chapter 42 already.
JK just makes himself more and more unlikable. There is zilch of slow burn or hints or whatever. He is an asshole with a pretty face and enormous ego, and what, he will miraculously make an 180° when it's scripted? With the realization of his misdeeds and black&white flashbacks of Dan overly childified face? Wow, what a story.
And as for Dan, these last chapters were bound to destroy him as a relatable and likable character. And it's not because he acts silly (even though it is annoying and laughable considering his life experience and age, gives me "born sexy yesterday" vibes, yikes), but because of the extremely amateur way the author depicts his inner and outer changes and deeds. He is utterly infantile and stupid. He behaves as a stereotypical derogatory female characters written by men, or like an anecdote of a teenaged silly little kiddo.
All of this is just so LAZY
And glaringly commercial. As if on the wave of success after BJ Alex there was an urgent need of new juicy project asap, and the author just so happened to binge-watch "Physical 100" on Netflix and thought "oh my, that's it" and that alone was considered enough of a fundamental for the next story.
Overall, it feel like the writer is ChatGPT itself. Immense disappointment. The only reason I am going to stick around is Potato and his obviously incoming romance with the celebrity guy.
What a disaster of a story should one create so that the only likable (for now) part of it is a romance between two secondary characters which hasn't even happened yet. Hilarious.

Oh my fucking god you stole all the words from my mouth. How can someone produce something like BJ Alex and then downgrade to... this? Honestly i had the same expectations, i was so looking forward to this, but every new chapter makes me want to rip my hair out. Jk ain't quirky or misunderstood, he's just a huge asshole. Thanks for the breakdown, i feel like a lot of people need to see it and open their eyes.

Nobody here says BJ Alex was in any way perfect relationship wise. It still is a very problematic story with quite a lot questionable rhetoric, to put it mildly. However, we are not talking about these aspects here. We are talking about the narrative side, world and character building and development. There are none.
BJ Alex, however problematic and flawed, has a well-paced ang logically built plot with simple and working arc structure. It's predictable yet not boring, it makes you invested and do make you like the MCs at least a little. You WANT them to change and you BELIEVE these changes when those happen. That's the fundamental yet crucial difference.

The person you've responded to said nothing about BJ Alex being perfect, without flaws, not iffy etc. They in no way disregarded all the problematic aspects of it. They only said the obvious - it's a shame an author whose first work was an objectively good (art, script, basic storytelling rules working, characters developing) BL read creates THIS nonsense. However questionable BJ Alex might be, it still is a well-written engaging story that works. Jinx could be a tale of a terrible JK and naive Dan, about rape and abuse and toxic relationships and all the most ugly things you can think about, BUT still pass as a GOOD manhwa - not in terms of marals, but in terms of telling a story. So being shocked the author of the well-crafted project suddenly drops this is nothing but natural.

Op alr answered but I never said I don't see any flaws in BJ Alex I think most people that prefer BJ Alex over Jinx won't say that it's perfect by any means, instead they'll tell you that as flawed as it is it is still objectively better than Jinx, as far as storytelling and character development goes, just like I think. Jinx is clearly a downgrade in those aspects.
raws please?
