wait, really? why would u not just say rape though? it's the same as murder, assault, stealing etc.
not saying it and censoring it would result in victims being reluctant to talk about their pain and suffering, thus leading to more rapists getting away with it. my uncle got killed, but i don't just ask people to stop saying "murder". i got raped, i still don't ask people to censor it. not acknowledging the word is the same as not acknowledging the crime. say it, make it known that it exists and how disgusting it is.

I'm sorry that happened to you, and I'm also sorry for censoring that word. But, I'm also a victim that's why I'm not comfortable with saying it. I don't know if this is just me being dramatic, but the word still triggers me always. I still haven't moved on, I still remember it everyday. And I might not even forget about it even for the rest of my life. You may be okay with saying that word, but I am not. I apologize but I hope you understand why I am not very fond of saying that word.
im also very sorry that you went through that. i suggest therapy, it helped me a lot with that stuff. running away from it wont help you heal, trust me. at first i was like you as well, getting triggered and getting flashbacks. i went to therapy and began using medication, helped a ton! i hope you'll get through this and heal. i'm sorry about the aggressive tone i used, to be honest i was on my period-
