I'm a bit confused. How exactly is Irene an evil person? I mean, I know she hides her true character and spread rumors about the MC. But, has she ACTUALLY done anything bad enough to be called evil?
I think how MC's father mentioned that new nobles are trying to take over the kingdom for worse and now Irene is seen with those very nobles is foreshadowing that perhaps she's a spy/assassin sent into to take over and rule with those nobles as her advisers etc.. Or perhaps just destroy the current emporium and take control of it themselves. At least that's what I'm getting.
She is purposely spreading rumors and plotting the downfall of not just a single girl but an entire family line...i mean that seems pretty evil to me, especially when said girl has made it somewhat obvious she 'had' no interest in the position of empress. Also just the fact that she is very much not the kind of person she shows to be is suspicious.
she's faking her angellic behavior and is scheming to become the empress of the nation through means that will bring others down. she's making connections and networks with people you can't say have clean reputations. also her kind of greed doesn't stop at becoming empress either. but it's pretty standard conniving villainess material. been there done that; Irene is a necessary villainess cliche for plot.
Oh goodness, I didn't think this comment would get so many replies. So, first off, thank you everyone for commenting!
I'm not saying that Irene isn't suspicious or scheming something (the author is clearly putting out that vibe). I'm just saying that I feel that the characters are jumping the gun and trying to make her into an evil person without any concrete evidence. (If there is something in the chapters, please point it out to me.)
As for her going to the nobles, I thought she was just trying to gain support from the people. Are nobles trying to take over the kingdom? I know that there are different factions, but I hadn't thought that they would try to take control of the kingdom. (I'll have to reread that part again.)
And the MC didn't have that pure of a motive for becoming empress either. Her past self only wanted the affection of the Prince, and she didn't care how she got his attention (bullying others and such). And the MC now only wants to be empress to not damage her family's reputation and not for the sake of the people. This is starting to change (as evidence in recent chapters), but she didn't have pure motives to be the empress at the start either.
I guess, in summary, I relate more towards Irene than Satiana. Even though Irene doesn't have pure motives to be the empress, she was dating the Prince before Satiana tried to break them apart, and now her whole future is in jeopardy because the Satiana wanted the Prince's affection for her herself. She is clearly not going about things in the correct way, but I can understand where she is coming from. Satiana, I don't understand. She wants to be the empress to restore her family's reputation, when she came from a different world. Like, why would she even care enough about the people of this world to become its ruler when she considers herself an outsider??
I forget what chapter it is, but I’m pretty sure Irene either beat up a maid or hurt them somehow because she was mad.
I’m not saying that Satie is a good character originally. But if I had to say it, a rich brat is much better than a scheming snake. Satie reflected on her poor behavior and corrected it. That’s why people commend Satie more than Irene.
Irene is seen talking to nobles who are known to want power and control over the nation, and are using their money to gain said power. A lot of “good” older royals believe in noblesse oblige (generosity and duty to care for the people of the nation as being a privileged person of power). Generalizing, the nouveau riche and the “bad” (corrupt) royals in this scenario want power because of greed. Satie’s father is actually a “good” noble, but because he spoiled Satie, she was seen as a villainess originally because of her bratty behavior. She didn’t conduct herself with the grace of a royal who would one day become queen.
Irene, on the other hand, is seen to know how to conduct herself really well, and hides her temper and “bad” character behind the mask of being a “good” queen candidate. To put it simply, Irene is manipulative and sneaky because she associates herself with the “bad” nobles and nouveau riche.
I hope this makes sense. I feel like I repeated myself a lot.
Um...Satiana WAS sort of evil but then she tried to change her ways..pretty much the entire lynch pin of even our modern humanity is to admit your sins and be absolved of them while you do good to change your ways?
Also she is only now trying to become Empress so that her entire family isn't brought to ruin with her she feels responsible now because when she tried to get out of becoming Empress Irene then went ahead to defame her which will look bad and destroy her Family who have been nothing but kind to her, THAT is her reason, she has now also found out that Irene is purposely trying to bad mouth her which at the end of the 'competition' would further help to destroy her and her family and make her unable to live any sort of normal life.
SO imagine for a second you are this person from another world in Satianas body...what would you do? Would you stand back and let people suffer because of you...and also end up suffering because of some suspicious bitch?
Also what luck to die thanks to two assholes only to be reborn in the body of a villain like honestly what would you do? instead of trying to relate to Irene imagine you are that isekai girl...what choice would you have really? she has already tried to be nice and that didn't work out TWICE now she died for it once she won't die for it again.
The other chapters are from a different manga. The vampire one is here: http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/sxm/ with its sequel: http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/heaven_s_will/
There is a one page extra here that shows them meeting up: http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/rakuen_no_ori/mf/v01/c005/56/
My question is: what about the snake? Why did he stop talking? Is he okay?
I'm worried- he's cute!
I think snake wanted his master (high schooler kid) to have a "normal" life. I mean when he talked to snake around someone maybe they treated him like some crazy person and I think like Kedama snake sacrificed his own happiness for his master(/TДT)/ (/TДT)/
It's only my opinion but it breaks my heart so much ╥﹏╥
