The depiction of sexual assault is the primary concern in this series. The themes of "mind games" and obsession feel somewhat superficial and unconvincing. I find the execution lacking, particularly in terms of dialogue quality.
Spoiler Soohyun hated and obsessed with eunsungs downfall but somehow turned into love. (But it was not said you can just feel it especially after all the events that happened) It goes for the both of them. Its supposed to be all about mind games thats why the title is checkmate. Yes its composed of SA at the beginning its supposed to be a toxic relationship (its not for all) i also hated the beginning but later as it progressed i honestly love how the character development and them being wholesome at the side stories. It honestly got my heart 3

You could describe him as "a calm surface hiding a dangerous undertow." He’s someone who appears calm and kind on the outside, but beneath that exterior, there’s something dangerous that can pull you in if you get too close or uncover their secrets. The danger is not immediately obvious, but threatening when exposed.

The concept of a racer and mechanic; it’s unique. The angst is intense, and the miscommunication really adds to the tension. The toxicity is frustrating, but it also keeps me hooked. They drive me crazy!
