Mathew is very druged, first because of the lady at the bar who seduced him and then, when he scaped Brandon found him and brought him at Jin's place, and I bet he drugged him too. So yeah, very drugged, doesn't know what is happening or what not, he feels dispair and wants to think that he is doing it with Jin even though he thinks he is doing it with somebody else but he can't control his strong yet wrong impulses...
