Nah I get what you mean. I don't necessarily thinks it's bad but the authors style seems to not use alot of shadows and highlights. It's mostly just midtones so it makes it looks kinda flat. I assumed the author does this to save time because the cover art looks much better.
I think it’s an uncanny valley situation. Like the characters are traced off of real people, or their faces are copy pasted into every panel... idk, it just seems like they have 3 faces each that are reused. So they’re plastic-y
But in recent chapter my sympathy is kinda declining. I do ship hen and Ivan tho. I didn’t dislike aleck earlier but it’s changing now
