hope i don't get hate but i don't understand the overwhelming jj hate and leo support and love, basically the vibes are leo is not in the wrong at all (i've seen some people outright say that)
i think they both have their major flaws that brought this situation to this point, and honestly i feel like jj's feelings are completely justified, it's simply how he feels and he has the right to end a relationship based off of that, (relationships are comprised of two people after all) their relationship prior to this has been completely off-screen (away from what we've seen) so everything he says and the fact that everyone around them assumes that leo was at fault in the relationship is telling although the way he went about it is not great (communication perhaps, fucking him so agressively after breaking up because obviously he was upset at leo for suggesting that)
i'm not gonna talk about how i feel about leo because i feel like there's enough one-sided support (i fucking love his character and everything about him don't get me wrong this story is godly in my personal opinion and i love it)
they both had lingering feelings as the manager stated when jj visited leo at the hospital. they're just dealing with the break up differently, since they are definitely getting back together i assume jj is just dealing with his emotions in a "unhealthy" way by completely trying to make the cut off clean and moving to germany and not telling leo about any of his plans (not like he NEEDS to but it's showing to how he's tryna deal with his break up with leo) he's most likely suppressing his feelings. they've been together for years after all.
and lastly it's clear that the author is trying to agree with what leo is saying, that there's truth in how leo is treating him. i mean it's literally in this episode.
jj wanted to go on a trip and leo doesn't want to so they aren't. he's pushing off jj's wants/feelings and then right after goes off and hangouts with other people. that was one of jj's issues with the relationship (correct me if im wrong) that he didn't feel like he was in a relationship.
even in the beginning we see another one of his complaints as jj is called up to drive leo home from hanging out with other people, subjected to more of his "caretaker" as he complains. im not saying you can't hangout with other people outside of your relationship, thats purely ridiculous, but it is literally shown in this episode why it's an issue. leo didn't want to give jj what he wanted to, for HIS birthday, invalidated his feelings basically, then went off to hangout with other people right after, it makes sense that jj feels like it's no longer a relationship and feels neglected, (he tried pushing away and spending less time with him to see if things would change and maybe the fact that they were around each other so much that the relationship became that way, it didn't, it remained the same, leo treated him the same) i mean leo bought him a give "selfishly" it went against what he wanted, he didn't want a gift he wanted them to go on a trip.
AGAIN, i love leo, i just understand his character is DESIGNED and supposed to be flawed, it's what the author is trying to portray. i really do love the two of them and this story, and i think leo is expressing how much jj means to him, and how badly he did love jj.
haha.. i wonder if this is how some people actually think. i think if that's true it also has something to do with how he's the main character. and they're blinded by how much they like leo. but you're allowed to love a character but understand he has flaws that the author is clearly trying to write into the story. i love leo sm! i just understand jj's side is just as valid!
I do wish people would be able to open their perspectives more and see the actions/intentions with an open mind rather than just relying on introspective and first person narratives to make judgements. Its probably why it’s so hard to find people who can understand both characters flaws without over emphasizing on one.
OH YEAH, i feel like in manhwa's (or webtoon format idk if it has an actual name) it's always the uke as the mc, unlike mangas, that makes total sense.
even i do this sometimes where i defend the main character to myself a bit too much... self admittedly lol at least im not AS narrow-minded and extreme in their thinking as some of this leo supporters.. i mean sheesh..
this shit is so fire my goodness... bless myself for accidentally stumbling upon this and reading it
