I actually feel rlly emotional. This was one of the first things I read as a kid that I actually rlly rlly liked and that actually got me hooked on binging chapters!! So crazy to see a remake in my lifetime lmao this is gonna be great!! im gonna unsubscribe and come back when there's like at least 35 new chapters to binge

well that was horrible. I guess the only thing to take from this is that when you're in an abusive relationship even their company feels acceptable when you feel lonely and isolated. Get therapy if you know you're fucked up. Get therapy even if you think you're not. Just everyone get therapy and the world will be a happier place. Translator, thanks for being the voice of reason to those that think this is ok. I read it cause I thought there would be a whole healing arc but there hasn't been so now I'm off to read something wholesome and happy.
The start of this was so good and interesting but now it's so messy. Too many things happening in too little time. I do rlly like garnet and amethysts storyline but the pacing of this whole story is getting super rushed. Idk I really had high hopes for this esp cos it's so unique
I think they spent too long on the filler episodes of the broadcast gem storyline, so bringing the story back to the true plot feels sloppy. For example, they should’ve gone into the orthera storyline, moon owl background as a manufactured scapegoat and the cruelty of the imperial family when moon own first brought up the mermaid story at the dinner table. Also, gradual moments of showing how the imperial family controlled media and what the people believed to be truth should’ve been foreshadowed more throughout the story.
If they had focused on JUST the loeri/ moon owl and Marianne/ the very shady death of vyseris it would’ve made more sense with the overall plot of the imperial family. The egg story is CRAZY tho

I also dunno what they're going for with the egg but they've repeatedly hinted at mermaids and ortera throughout the story, so maybe the egg is important for later.
