I'm really tired of yaoi, why must there be rape and/or sexual abuse in every goddamn yaoi?? some months ago I used to love reading yaoi 24/7 but can't there be a plot without any rape??? can't the characters fall for each other without any sexual abuse? really... it's sad how the authors feel like there should be rape and/or sexual abuse in the plot just so it can work out...

the author decided the plot to be like that, then don't read it sweetie it already has tag in it which tells rape. you already that u read that "many yaoi stories" then go re-read it all and don't read plot like this.

Um You Do Know That Not Every Yaoi Has Sexual Harassments Or Rape So Basically Your Comment Is Making Zero Sense And There Some Yaoi That Is Wholesome And Some Respectful Seme And Not Every Book That Has A Yaoi Tag Has Sexual Harassments So Yea-
Just search wholesome yaoi or shounen ai. Also, watch out for the tags, it'll make your life easier. That's what I've learned from all the tragedy mangas I've been baited on.
Authors write and people read it that's why it sells and also why they still continue to write. The cycle continues. Just like kinks, we've all got our weird fetishes and likes. Not saying that the people who pick these kinds of stories with rape and sexual abuse want the same sht done to them (on the most part at least, I don't think so), but probably it's mostly for the drama and the heavy plot. It may sound sick but for the 9 year's I've been on this site and read (both shoujo and yaoi, etc) I've heard and interacted with a lot of people as well as heard their views on certain stuff. You're bound to hear weird ass comments or just some not so every day things, and I've heard of such comments.
Plus, yaoi as wiki oh so defines "features homoerotic relationships between male characters". In short homoerotic can be branched out in manyyy ways. Be it soft with smut, smut, lemons, hard stuff, weird twisted stuff, etc. All in all, if you aren't comfortable or not like me who's morals, shame and sanity in reading these are gone, read the tags and save yourself lmaoo
I've read 2000 yaois and I can tell you not ALL are like that. Sure there's a lot but if you search for the right tag of list then you should be satisfied instead of being here. I usually search for Shounen or sometimes wholesome when I feel like reading them...
