Reading a story you loved and suddenly... it ends... Even if it's a happy ending, they still leave you empty inside. What are your ways to handle it?
Do you throw yourself into a new series that's almost the same in hope of getting somewhat of a "continuation" of that feeling? Start reading a completely new kind of story with different theme just to take your mind off it? Just go by your daily life in a haze until the feelings dissipates by themselves?
Yes of course i get sad :< it has always been my dilemma as a reader. I want to finish the story but at the same time i dont want it to end boo
Hmm.. first i check if the author made a spin off or sequel. If theres none, i look for mangas that have similar theme and characters. If I get bored with reading too much similar mangas, I proceed to reading the other works made by the same author. Sometimes, i look for the opposite. Like i get bored of quiet uke x extrovert seme, i go for mangas that have extrovert uke x quiet seme. And then repeat the process lol.

I go about it the same way. ^^;; But you dive right into reading more; you don't "go outside" and do something else? I feel sometimes I get too hooked on trying to find something to keep stimulate me and ease the heartbreak.

Yup i dive right in mostly because i can still feel the hype (^▽^;)ゞ but after reading 2-3 mangas (regardless whether its similar, opposite, or by the same author) i take a break, like stretching, answering questions, fixing my album and editing my manga list, etc. Lol i call it a break but theres no time limit. I just go back to reading whenever i feel satisfied with what i was previously doing. ◍•ᴗ•◍
I’ll get over it in a day n think a/b it from time to time but eventually I’ll find smth else to read/watch or distract myself,,, n then forget about it
