Well the main reason Taiga acted up was for Mako to quit her job, so when she quits, then Taiga gets what he wants and with Mako gone from the company why should he care about Kazushi? Taiga doesn't know that they're dating, so once Mako quits the company will be unrelated to her and he'll leave them alone.

Taiga could have the mentality of “they forced her to do these kinds of things, so I won’t let them off no matter what” also, because it’s clear that they are both fighting for Mako, so I don’t think Taiga would leave it alone even if Mako resigned. Or maybe I am just thinking too much into it
