I’m in my mid-twenties now and when I was younger, at 17 and 22 like MC was when she got married and had a kid, I was pretty self-centered and superficial. I cared more about trends and keeping up with them than properly managing my finances or donating to charities. I was inconsiderate of family and of friends. I put my wants first and only bothered with things that I enjoyed. It was a fine time, I enjoyed myself truly. I met people and forgot them, went to places and painted the town red. Wasted money and time and feelings. I also came to a point where I regretted it all but now I’ve come to terms with it. Life is just like that: no one can really say that there’s a “correct” way of living life. There’s a “common” way and a “wise” way but not necessarily right for everyone. For MC, she had to go through all that to understand her wrongs. While it’s true that the people around her didn’t deserve the treatment they got, what’s important is that she actually took the chance and is properly making up for it even if it’s clumsy since she has no idea how to do it properly. So many people get second chances but throw it away.
The plot is confusing but whatever, they’re all extremely good looking. I’ll read forever.
