I think it is the thing (which tbh i am not really sure of) that the cardinal wants the prince to gain more power by causing some general downfall of neushwastein (idk how to spell it lol), and so devised kind of a plot to accuse shuri and jeremy of having an inappropriate relationship = that is also referencing the swan room richelu (again forgot how to spell his name lmao) mentioned to shuri
