Let’s be honest here. If you’ve gotten to chapter 46, we all know that both of these main characters have troubled pasts—the ML more so than the FL, of course.
The ML does not know how to communicate his thoughts and emotions, mainly because of his fucked up background and the subsequent years following his r*pe as a child by a man (and likely when he was older by both men and women). All he knew were beatings, extortion, and sex. He was never allowed the chance to be a child and grow up like other people, so thus he’s not able to verbally communicate what he wants without the fear of being hated and abandoned. So, he remains silent.
Of course, this leads to miscommunication and a hell of a lot of angst (adding to my already painful migraine). ( ̄∇ ̄")
The FL has her own host of issues. In the story, she has admitted to being hedonistic and shallow. Just like the ML, she’s afraid of the consequences of her choices—of losing someone she’s close to in case she loses herself again in the process.
The very start of their relationship began with sex (that would feel good to the ML). Don’t complain that’s all this relationship is when it started out that way. It seems like the only way the ML feels he can communicate is through sex because he knows the FL enjoys it with him as he does with her. It’s not the best way to communicate, but his expressions become the window to his feelings whenever they’re wrapped up in each other’s arms.
My hope is that the ML will be honest with the FL about his past, his thoughts, and especially his desires. I feel like that will be coming much later, but the FL has to do her part to help draw that out of him. She needs to reassure him that she cherishes him (it’s obvious to us) because he has no idea what she’s thinking.
Honestly, just please end the angst soon! I find this story so fascinating and interesting on a psychological level, mainly because I know people like these ones do exist in the real world. I’m really looking forward to the rest of this story.
(I wrote this comment in hopes that like-minded people would band together to protect the baby bean of the troubled ML and his beloved who needs to hurry up and spill the beans about her desire to keep him close. (▰˘◡˘▰))

He’s not an actual baby, of course, and he does need protection in some ways. I was seeing a lot of hate (like a LOT) in the comments towards the ML when I wrote this, so the “protection of the.baby bean” was really in regards to the people who just couldn’t understand his background and point of view.

However, it does have new elements and I like the story so far. This is new in the sense that a horse is being brought back to life in the form of a human and carries a mark to show the connection between either lovers or simply horses and their riders (from what I understood, but I could have missed something). The reason why I say this isn’t a new concept is because of a BL manga with a horse shifter becoming the lover of a human (even though the shifter remained a loyal steed as well). (●'◡'●)ノ

Um, no?? The horse shifter in the BL manga did not fall in love at first sight. He still thought of himself as just a loyal horse for quite a while after becoming human, so it came as a shock when his master told him his feelings and wanted him to reciprocate. Maybe in this story Lucca will realize her feelings first, but I don’t think so.

From 16 onwards, they’re not accurate. 16 and 17 are both repeats of previous chapters, then 18-22 are about one chapter off/behind each other. I read the real chapters on a super glitchy, risky site and got kicked out before I could read the real 21st chapter. I wish someone could fix this because all the other good sites (and even “official” scan sites) have repeats that throw off the counting order and some chapters in the wrong order. :/

This is absolutely ridiculous. Putting the blame on the victims with one who has a mother who was held hostage?? Really?? Why are they not putting the blame solely on the asshole prince!? This makes ME really mad. Louie isn't at fault AT ALL. He never had any contact with anyone other than his mate, Yullur, his assistant that was forced to go with Louie, and a scant few other people. Why is this war "his fault" when his stepbrother was the main cause?
Sorry, I'm not asking these questions for them to be answered. I'm just venting my frustrations with this stupid kingdom and their stupid people (excluding Yullur, his mate, and Hashi's son). (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 FUCK YOU, BASTARDS!

I know, right? I'm so fucking pissed at prince Hashi. Never mind the fact that Louie's mate, Zeth went to the frontlines with the in exchange for Louie's freedom. He said that it's so he won't be "interrogated" (and we all know that includes torture), but i'm pretty fucking certain, that throwing him into a dinky prison cell goes against the agreement. This is basically just a big fuck you to prince Zeth - him and the king made a trade, and the moment Zeth left, the king went back on his world.
And I still haven't forgiven the king for essentially facilitating rape by mixing highly potent drugs into his own son's drink. That's just beyond fucked up.
This whole time Louie did nothing wrong. It was his fucking trash father, and his apple that didn't fall far from the tree Azlak, who sent Louie essentially to his death in order to provoke war. Louie had no idea about their plans. He thought that not only is he securing his mother's wellbeing (who's life literally depended on his marriage - not that it did much good), but also a peace agreement. That's it. Yet the idiot mob and fucking Hashi acts like Louie is the mastermind who cooked up the whole scheme, and had Azlak come over to butcher a wolf.
As if his visit wasn't clearly an unwelcome surprise to Louie, not to mention that he was friends with the wolves, and was clearly upset over the death

Even though I know she’s just a character someone dreamed up for a smutty plot, I feel really bad for Mira. She has childhood trauma that is keeping her from speaking her mind with her grandmother at the heart of it. This CEO is NOT helping her in the right way at all.
During chapter 4, he should have just stopped and talked to Mira more after hearing some of the reason why she was scared to speak up, but he instead pushed her to do more sexual things. Yes, she was aroused from grabbing the leash and I get that he has the collar and he’s aroused by her lustful thoughts, but he has way more strength and can stop himself from going too far. Sure, she asked for more, but only after the CEO pushed beyond her boundaries to arouse her further.
I honestly like the overall concept (reencounter, guy wearing collar, d/s stuff), but how it was written kind of turns me off to wanting to read more. This really could have been better.
On a side note:
I know an old woman who has a “gift” like Mira. She can see things—many of which she did not want to know or remember. As a child, she asked her aunt why there was “black stuff” around her, then her mother dragged her into another room and shook her by the shoulders. She was harshly scolded by her mother to never say or speak of the things she saw ever again. Her mother’s sister (the aunt) died two days later, which scared her so badly as a child.
Even though she could see “Death” on people, she chose to never speak of it to anyone who had the “black stuff” around them again. And it turned out that her mother also had that “gift,” which she (the mother) cursed every day until her own death.

I get it, honestly. I'd feel the exact same way as her if I was dating as I'm older with zero dating experience on a personal level. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I think I'll enjoy this one!
