I couldn’t read it anymore after she used her life force for the magic powers… Like it felt messy and out of place overall. So, I skimmed through it, and they’re still building up to the climax, haven’t truly gotten together, and she’s not the empress yet. I’ll wait for the epilogue to pick it back up…
Again, this is just my opinion of the story. I love this story, but I don’t like how she suddenly needs immense power to take the throne. She could’ve gotten support from the Kendry Duchy, gain support from the emperor, etc. After that, maybe she could’ve gotten the powers from the garden place… idk.
Also, where did Heinrich go…? He’s become completely irrelevant—or at least as I skimmed though he has. I haven’t seen him since the kidnapping incident. I feel they only use Heinrich as a plot device to blame evil attacks on.

I agree it got messy. But I don't think she would have been able to do much without her magic tbh. Rezef is like a complete psycho. It irritates me how unnecessarily strong her powers are tho. Like she needed low level magic and they made her a 'god' just to shorten her lifespan to 10 days...
I don't think she would have been able to gain much support tho, unfortunately. A lot of these men have given me major misogynistic vibes. I mean otherwise why follow the crazy tyrant prince rather than the level headed princess who is literally in charge right now.

So I read up to chapter 180 of the novel + skimmed through… and I did not like it. I mean, I liked it, but it was ANNOYING. Mainly Miscommunication. It was great when Mc ran away at first, but then the fact that they can’t talk to each other/fix their relationship after like 80 chapters was a bummer. I hated the added plot twists. It was unneeded and could’ve been put more into building mc’s character development. Every fucking side character got me agitated as well. And the fact of male lead’s dead brother hasn’t been revealed, is so fucking tiresome. Like when the hell is the ml going to stop being oblivious (especially since he’s usually very keen and smart) to how Mc is feeling. And plus the obsession trauma MC has is not even being talked about. I don’t understand why ml hasn’t figured out what had happened and why he isn’t changing when knowing that Mc had said that hates obsessive people.
Also, trigger warning to everyone, it is implied that MC was sexually assaulted (I think???) and abused.
From spoilers, I read that in the end, Mc and ml don’t get together until ml falls out of love with Mc, and Mc regrets that, and goes back to ml, which ml is glad to take Mc back (ml is wrapped around mc’s finger).
Also heard that side stories were better than the ending, and that Mc didn’t really get a character development.

So he doesn’t fall out of love in a sense that his feelings were shallow—instead it’s “for the better”
ML gave MC some flashbacks on his past and felt like he couldn’t keep loving him anymore before he hurt MC.
So ultimately, from what I read in spoilers, ML stops pining/chasing MC bc of scaring him and also bc MC joined that bureau agency thingy. But then MC realizes that he actually can’t stop loving ML and goes back to him.
Basically they both love each other, but it’s a push and pull effect that they have (essentially a plot device). Both are scared of hurting each other and being hurt.
