The whole point is it’s alpha and omega and they are fated pair and have no choice but be sexually attracted to each other. They could meet at any period in time and it be like that. The author wanted to show that, and developed the characters as they grew older.
Ikr and also there are stories where alpha or omega don't accept their fated pair and expressed disgust of that. The thing is in omegaverse you cannot avoid sexual attractions it matters on how you handle it.
