The narrator is listing awful stereotypes--akin to the stereotype of 'people in third world countries are uncivilized'.
I think personally think a gender stereotype would have fit better with the main themes of the stories and would have communicated the same sentiment more effectively
I agree, it’s so jarring to read and has no place/meaning in the story.
I think it was included because alpha/ beta/ omega was referred to as races not genders in this
