This story is one of favorites and helped shape me as a person growing up lol. I'm pretty sure i watched this when I was in grade school and I just finished it now post-college. This is absolutely amazing. I do wish we had a more solid ending, the characters are very obviously not into strict labels. Even Kyohei said je like what he likes and hates what he hates. I will now proceed to make my own imaginary ending haha but still props to the author and scanlators!
