Guard Youth
I love the art and the characters are adorable, I really liked how the story paced itself by letting multiple things happen at once. There were many clever and well executed scenes. But the end is too short. We basically know nothing of Suho's past, even though that would've been so juicy. As much as I loved the story, it started to divert itself from being BL. Nothing wrong with that but I just didn't like that it ended right there. The last line also doesn't make sense, Sunghyeok doesn't really need to go look out for love when he's got Suho. So that really threw me off when that was the end. Definitely perfect rating if they had resolved and delved Suho's issue as well as they executed with Sunghyeok's.
We Only Held Hands
Interesting at first but really had a hard time keeping me reeled in the story. Honestly, I would've appreciated a whole different season 2. Just focusing on Terry and Tony was enough. Sean's story was indeed sad but season was such a drastic change from the light and fluffy season 1. I don't mind side character couples, but season 2 just sprung out of nowhere like on of the Ki babies. Season 2 just felt so unnecessary filled that filled this ok manhwa with too much angst. The drama on season 2 wasn't even great anyways, I didn't like they got together. It just seemed so far fetched and there was confusing conclusion. I feel like I'm saying so much. But really it's just that I found the first season inspiring at best and if the story ended there I would've given as high as 5 stars.
