Okay, that wasn't too bad, in the novel it is MUCH worse, every feeling that Wei has is narrated, and he was being raped so it's very disturbing
It doesn't matter if it's a dream or not, this is literally the sexualization of a RAPE, the author chose that Lan Zhan's dream involved a rape just to be able to sexualize. And there is also no excuse for "Wei liked it", Wei of the dream kept telling Lan Zhan several times to stop and tried to run away more than once, I love Mo Dao Zu Shi, but this is very sick.
I think u're just taking it too seriously. Chill, it's a fiction. No one was raped in reality, its just some words written by an author. No need to get so worked up over a written chapter or by fan drawing. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
If it was an event of reality, yeah it would be really awful, but there is really no need to take fiction so much to yourself. Something like sexual fantasies also exist and i heard some women or men fantasize about being raped or raping (i cant understand it but some people just have weird thoughts) and its not really disturbing since it only happened in someone's mind. Doesn't mean they would do it in reality. Focus on reality, dont get so worked up over a rape fantasies in some novel.
If the sexualization of rape is acceptable because it is a "fetish" then is the sexualization of pedophilia also? No man, this is still fucking disgusting. And I'm not taking it SO seriously either, after all I still love Mo Dao Zu Shi, if I had been worrying so much I wouldn't even like novel, but everything has problems, and this sexualization of rape in this novel is a big problem, I will always criticize her for that.
Did you read the novel properly? Because Wei Ying is definitely closeted M and enjoys non con fantasies/sex a lot. And you as a reader if you can draw a clear line between the fact, that all this is fiction and would never do this in real life, then why being angry about it. Ya'll hating on sexualization of rape and non con in everything, but still come and read it.
Yes, I read the entire Novel twice, and reading it I can know perfectly well that the author only put an NSFW scene of rape to sexualize, she probably has a fetish for that kind of thing and she wanted the dream scene with Wei and Lan from the past were read as rape. If that wasn't the intention, there wouldn't be so many lines from Wei begging Lan to stop, or from Wei trying to escape at all costs, but failing. And if you see a disturbing scene like that and find it "sexually exciting" or "ok", you should definitely revisit your concepts, because this is totally disgusting.
Bruh what on earth is this
