Females who take parental roles are mom.
Males who take parental roles are dad.
It doesn't make sense to only call the ones, who gave birth, mom, since then, there wouldn't be a stepmom or adoptive mom, there would be just stepdad and adoptive dad. Or am I missing something?
It just always get on my nerves, when men are called wife & mom... It's a queer relationship, don't force straight couple gender roles onto them!
I mean.. in omegaverse omegas are the equivalent to woman in society: they're the "inferior" gender, the one who's always at fault and everyone it's disappointed that someone is one, they're the ones who give birth and raise children. Therefore they take the role of "mom" too bc here the primary sex is not male or female but omega and alpha.
It's not "only the ones who give birth get call mom", omegas get call mom, period. Stepmom would be the term for a omega stepparent
The only way you get the whole dad & dad is in alphaXalpha relationships (which are literally the translation of real gay man irl)
Did your comprehension skills leave the room for this topic? I dont even know how to simplify it for you to get it
omegas (regardless of gender) are TREATED like woman in society, their pronouns doesn't have anything to do w it.
Yes their "primary" gender is male/female (which matches real life genders) yet their secondary gender is the one that determines how they're TREATED in society. The reason why I said primary sex in my comment was bc in their society the most important is whether they're alpha/beta/omega and not male/female
So, what's your idea? Calling the female alpha dad? Well, I didn't see that till now...
For me, it's the same as looking for the "other sex partner" in a homosexual relationship. It's something done very often in mangas (omegavers was just created to get that even more extreme), so does that mean it's proper? No, it's not.
If you are fine with that, good for you. But I appreciate the stories that have proper mothers and fathers rather than male mothers and female fathers. Different opinions and preferences
I was explaining smth that's normal in omegaverse and YOU said you didn't understand, why are you acting like I pull this concept out of my ass?? Its very well known that omegaverse (even tho is abt queer people) is extremely hetero-normative.
If you appreciate stories with "proper mothers and fathers" you should look for queer stories abt single parents who get into a relationship or queer couples adopting children bc you're not gonna find it in omegaverse
You say don't force straight couple gender roles and your solution is calling them dad-dad. Mom and dad ARE cis-gendered terms, you know that right? Making them both dad is not better than that. How about people who is nonbinary or trans-gendered? If you don't want to read heteronormative stories look elsewhere, because you won't find it in yaoi. These are the creations of Asian culture which is extremely conservative. They tend to make one of the partners more feminine. They called them uke and seme for christ's sake! Manly uke is a rarity for a reason. Omegaverse is even worst, it's basically created because nobody wants to be bothered with consent. Because you know, if alpha rapes omega, what can you do, he can't help it even if he doesn't want to, poor alphas. So there are problems in yaoi all around. It's a bit hypocritical to ignore those and take issue with only mom-dad situation. In short, who cares? Call them both mom or dad. Being female or male doesn't mean anything in omegaverse. It's basically non-binary. So all this discussion is meaningless lol. I recommend reading mm novels if you're so bothered.
I agree with you. I find it annoying, but I’ve gotten used to it over time. It would make more sense if omegaverse existed if strictly male only societies, but women exist, and female omegas and female alphas exist (depending on the source material), so calling them equivalent to women doesn’t sit right to me, personally.
He can only redeem himself, because it's fantasy and we know that he truly means it and he was raised/ he lives in a world, where they treat others not as human beings. So, that someone like him realises his feelings and his mistakes and asks for forgiveness is something huge!
But if it was in real life: RUN BOY
Where can I read the raws?
