Why does this feel like the author didn’t do any research and didn’t bother to make the “strong willed” FMC actually fit into the narrative they are trying to portray? I read a lot of mafia books and almost all of the women in the mafia books know self defence and how to point and aim a gun. Even staff like the head maid or butler of estate can fight! It just baffles me.
