When a man tells you he doesn’t want you, don’t chase him and don’t let him tell you twice. It honestly demeans yourself. He can come and correct his statement but you do not go over there and beg. If a man who says he likes you goes off with another woman, you don’t waste time waiting around for him to see you and only you. You leave him and find someone who WILL see you and only you. Why compromise on key requirements for a relationship? A man who will flirt with every women will most likely always flirt with everyone woman. A man who denies any involvement with you will most likely deny your relationship over and over again. Trust your gut. Your head is a pessimist, your heart is an optimist but your gut sees reality for what it is. If that reality is inaccurate or the other party messed up how they wanted to portray themselves, they can come and explain. No explanation, no love. Stop normalising men being bad partners without consequences and stop normalising women having to beg and corner men for love. The fact is that we deserve love without needing to beg or corner anyone and we can get that even if it isn’t with the guy we want. Sometimes, it’s better to wait for the guy we need than to waste energy on the guy we want. Grandmas just like drama and all of them had to push their men into being better. Now, we’ve learnt that if we up our standards and state them clearly, there are men who fit that bill and we no longer need to settle for a fixer upper.
