It's understandable since Juda is a noble, he's never desperate for money. The only thing he knew is the right and the wrong, and the righteous him only thought that the latter shouldn't be done regardless of the circumstances. Not only nobles like him, tbh many ordinary people can't empath with people who do things that's considered wrong, without even trying to think if they're in their shoes. Sometimes even if they do they still can't understand them, thinking something like they'll never ever do that, because you'll never really know what you'll do in a bind until it happens.
