hate how the story antagonizes the title.
all I have to say is that I think she'd be better off with Jeremy. He was there by her side even in Roont and helped her. He also knows to respect Elijah's boundaries and knows when to let go. He was willing to let her go even when his unrequited love was fervently burning within his heart, but for her sake and happiness, he was willing to do so. A selfless act by a fool in love. I hope he will find someone who is able to reciprocate his love and experience the love he deserves.
Don't get me wrong, Raymond was not a bad choice either and I don't blame Raymond for his demeanor towards Elijah, because it wasn't his fault. He was despised by his father and his mother was murdered, anyone would be angry at that but even so it was his responsibility to take care of Elijah when he decided to take Elijah in as empress. Rather than taking her in and letting her wither by his side for decades and hurting her. Raymond was a victim, it wasn't his fault whatsoever for the misfortunes that befall upon him, however it was still his responsibility.
Elijah made up her mind and made the choice to leave Raymond, which was right. However, what was the purpose of doing so just to return?

there is something about stories where someone loves the other no matter their appearance, rather it's the soul that makes one's heart dance and rejoice. the way Dillon and Cedric came to realize their love for one another was fervently. but first and foremost, I am glad that regardless of which universe or lifetime they met one way or another.
this very story unfolded awfully beautifully, it makes my heart wrench. the ending is well deserved, I'm glad Dillon Hayworth has found her story. now all I wish for is that each individual, finds a love that burns so passionately it is engraved in your soul to be bound by fate to your lover, in every universe, may this love comes to find me.

I can't ever fathom the despair that you had endured. I truly bear a deep sorrow to have come to know of your story. I wish for nothing more for you than love and happiness, for you were always deserving of it. May the path forwards to not be filled with thorns, but overflowing with abundance of everything you have ever desired. Most importantly, I hope you find peace for yourself. As Winter always says : "may your sadness disappear from your eyes." I too wish the same for you.
don't give me a glimpse of happiness just to rob me off everything.
