So it was about two kids (a girl and a boy) they are friends and one day they go to a sort of village together. Then they find a thing to test their magical element but the girl is able to see the elemental spirit inside of the orb. Then she take the test and find out she has all the abilities. They then get enrolled in a magic school but on the way they encounter problems and 1 of the magical spirit become human like.. that is all i remeber :)

So it was about a little girl that go to a city or village and use an orb to test her magical affinities (fire earth..) but she can see the elemental spirit in the orb and then she find out she has all the power..
I think when the father took her in the room he didn't want her to die he just wanted max to come take her out and that's why he gave her a sword for him or her to fight.
Yeah lol i really wanna see the ending of the novel she read so bad
