It pisses me off so much when the seme pursues the uke but then gets cold feet last minute because THEY are too afraid like the uke's tears welling up had my chest clenching so hard

actually it did kinda piss me off too. but on the contrary, it was refreshing to see an originally straight seme lusting over the uke regardless of the fact that he was a man (which is something that he would naturally be putoff by since he has never thought of men in tht way)... still doesn't stray away from the fact that i kinda wanted to punch him when it originally happened but i kinda get it? he just didn't know wht he was getting himself into in the beginning (this was so long ew)

I know what you meann. But I kinda like how they portray it realistically. We often see a straight man falling in loving w/ the same gender and gets to do it with them w/ no obstacles etc. But here, it shows other possible reactions of a straight man falling in love, ignorant of the other things he may not be used to when doing it with the same gender. I dont say what Ogata did is justifiable but how the mangaka showed us the reality of homosexual relationships and the pain gays experiences when falling in love is something fresh to the eye. You never get to see this to ther yaois out there. No thrope here. Its amazing
Wait why did he enter the palace 100 years ago? I forgot cuz my memory is really bad
Your memory didn't fail you. How they met and how he entered the palace were only explained in chapter 26-27.
He originally lived 100 years ago, but killed himself bc he couldn't handel the seme (late emperor) but bc of how many people died because of him (how many the emperor killed bc of him) he was reborn 100 years later
Thanks guys :)
