Basara's one of my all time faves but I get it. Honestly the art and story-telling are pretty old school plus it doesn't have doki doki shoujo vibes. I like political, historical (though Basara is actually futuristic), and war manga so maybe that's what did it for me.

You're very right, I think yaoi manga Is sending out the wrong message nowadays. Pair that with other fetishes and it's just disgusting. Just below your post, there's one of a person who's saying they don't wanna be a furry. Wtf? As i have already answered your question in few of my comments in a manga where you were now .but i think my words didn't go through and i don't think it will .but the thing is what happen in some yaoi it really does not seem rape .when rape happens people fight from it they scream they shout .they don't enjoy or fall in love or realise they are in love . And again aspect of real life should not or can not be applied in yaoi because it is unrealistic many times .real life rape amd dub con do not match any where near .why can not people see other perspective . Rape is bad and horrible nobody enjoys rape . The one who do can it be called as rape ?.i didn't like the manga but how can i agree to something when i don't believe in it rape is horrible nobpdy enjoy rape ,nobody fall for thw rapist or treat it like it no big deal. Yaoi has really twisted my moral compass in a lot of ways but not enough for me to not be able to recognize rape and sexual assault. Although rape isn't enough to discourage me from reading something these days I really wish it wasn't as normalized in this community as it is.

Been saying this for a while now. Glad more people are opening their eyes to this. It's surprising there's still so many people justifying and denying it. Someone explained it's because people see it different, culturely and based on one's definition of rape and I just found that one example of an excuse.

First of all let's not act as if manga was realistic. And so isn't rape in yaois! Rape shouldn't be "like this" or "like that" there is no typical rape.

But the circumstances are so much diffrent .in train or a person if being molested in a public place have many things to watch out for the shame , or what the people will say and so many .that is te reason sometimes they do not speak up .but the manga you are talking about he said no .but did not defend himself like he could . He was getting raped but he he did not fight for himself? Why?and realised that he was in love with the seme and even said at the end of the chapter i intended to blame him but deep down i have always had delusion about him.
