I feel so bad for yoshiki, and for r!Hikaru too. They both probably deeply loved each other and Hikaru obviously wanted to protect Yoshiki only to die and have his body used like a puppet from something acting as him. I have no sympathy for O!Hikaru, although he didn’t mean to this possess hikaru’s body they still did. I also feel like, because of this Yoshiki’s mental state is worsen not only because of that item he’s holding and that scar O!Hikaru caused but because he never had the change to properly heal over his best friend’s death. Yoshiki was already a timid and shy person but to add salt to the wound to have his only friend who he fully and truly loved taken from him and his body used like a puppet must been so hard. And now gaining the knowledge that the puppet master who is using his bsf’s body is a God of spirits must be heart wrenching. I understand why people call this a romance but its barely is
