I'm re-reading this (currently ch. 16 where the girl feels underwhelmed by yuuji's acting) and I get why this got to be me so hard the first time: Takara and Yuuji are very similar to Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. Not the characters they play in ring but them, themselves, in real life.
That one point where kenny said he didn't want them to be in the shadow of one another, how kenny decided to go to Japan after seeing Kota, how he decided to stay there and make his career with him after working with him for the very first time. How he was afraid they would legit kill each other if they were to face each other because they trusted one another way too much and wanted to give their very best to one another.
Most of all, when kenny was called the best in the world and he kept saying Ibushi was better than him, there's not a single time where he haven't seen Ibushi as more talented than him, and wished the world to see HIS talent, gotten mad that there is a talent like Ibushi out there and he isn't recognized as kenny thinks he should.

There's a culture here in mangago, ever since the pandemic, I think, of people not giving a chance to things with low ratings and people rating things after one ch. or without even finishing the 1st chapter not for being bad, but for not being their cup of tea or because the translation wasn't great, like that makes the work itself bad. Or the worst of all because there's too little or no SEX like, fr bro, go get yourself isekaid by a truck
Usually I find things get low ratings because the art isn't pretty enough vs having a bad story. I've read things that had like 6.5 in rating and it's no where near as bad as how ppl rated it. Similar story with the comments

I'm talking exactly from what I see on the topic sections. In comics with no sex or very little sex, that's the main complaint I see, and the main reason for voting low. I've also seen many times, both as topics, both as "Things" people saying they don't read something under 9.0 stars. It's crazy, I know, 8 being considered low, but that's what a good chunk of the people I've seen discussing ratings do. It's also very telling when you compare with the ratings of Painter of the night (9.5, way more than here) or Profundis (8.5, STILL more than here) what's people's actual priority when voting, because ain't no way anyone can argue that this is lower quality than any of those two in any aspect
