I read a spoiler once but don’t remember the ending for Eclis…. I hope it’s not a sad ending I know he’s done some bad stuff but he was manipulated, and brainwashed…. This boy lost his only support system…… he needs some therapy, a hug, and a weighted blanket. Also timeout cause he did do a bad thing.
SPOILER . . . . . In the novel we don’t really ever get closure on him, it’s assumed he died. But yeah I agree with you cuz he let his twisted love for her run rampant and ended up hurting her but people have to take into consideration the brainwashing cuz that played a big factor into him acting like that cuz dude could’ve just stayed as her personal knight or sum

SPOILERS . . . . . . . . We get a little bit of closure with him but also not. So, while it is assumed he died in the main storyline, he shows up briefly in the side stories where it's revealed he's living in a town on the outskirts and has amnesia.
He meets Penelope and they talk briefly then they part ways. She's later attacked by like a monster or something idk what it was I forgot. And Callisto saves her while Eclis watches from a distance. It's implied in this scene that he didn't actually lose his memories he's just protecting his and Penelope's peace by not chasing after her. His storyline ends with his fake amnesia in a tiny town and Penelope stopping Callisto from killing him by telling him about the amnesia she knows Eclis doesn't have, effectively giving him a fresh start. He basically commits treason and gets a free pass from it thanks to Penelope's guilt. So I mean it's not exactly the worst ending he could have.
