Gosh reading the novel was the most unsatisfying thing ever.
For people fighting over Carrot vs Weed, Tia deserves neither.
Both the prince and Tia are messed up enough and perfectly suit each other. That's the tea
Luckily Carrot will be happily married and have a son. The worst part is that the author doesn't even bother yo mention who carrots wife is after freakin 350+ chapters.
Poor Allen is still literally kicked out of the story and makes a comeback when he is almost 30 and still single and depressed after the whole plot is almost over. Like why did you even bother to create this character. Give my boy some happiness.
And jieun literally SAVED TIAS LIFE. Like for Pete's sake, she was thrown into this world out of nowhere. Got entangled in people's political greed and was played like a pawn. Atleast she was sane enough to come back with revenge in mind and managed to partially achieve it by rattling out the Duke Jean family. She didn't even have to, jet she sacrificed her divine powers to save tias life. Yet what did she get? NOTHING . Her death sentence was changed her having to live in another country as a commoner.
SHE DID EVERYTHING IN HER CAPACITY, IF YOU CANT APPRECIATE HER ATLEAST GIVE HER SOME FORM OF HAPPINESS. HOW CAN SHE BE COMPLETELY ABANDONED LIKE THIS.
Now that I've got it all out , I feel better. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
I think is a good story, but lacking in some sense.
As a novel reader too, I don't have any pity for her. Yes, being transmigrated to such a cruel world is awful. And yes, going throught such trauma is bound to make her resentfull. BUT everything was the consequences of her own actions. Let's call it karma. The only reason she went against Tia in the second timeline was out of inferiority complex, since she was well aware that Tia was framed. Did she at least apologize for all the wrong she has done to her? No. Do you really believe that she was a "good girl"? Not at all. Her smiles were faked even in the first timeline. She took the throne when she didn't even know how to write of all things. She made things way harder for everyone in the second timeline out of spite. It wasn't a question of revenge or making things right, it was a question of pride. A good person don't let someone get abused over a misundertanding just because of petty jaleousy. A good person would not antagonize the primary victim this way. She wasn't a "naive teenager", she knew exactly what she was doing by involving herself with the bad guy in both timeline and trying to use others when she didn't even have the skills to do it. She was the one who knew his true colors way before the betrayal (I mean, he blackmailed her right from the start, she knew he wasn't a good person at heart and that he shouldn't be trusted). She even started punishing maids when she had no right to because she wasn't the Empress anymore and couldn't stomach having to bow when she was used to be the one in power. One good action does not erase all her responsabilty in what happened and all the wrong she has done. When you start manipulate or antagonize someone, there is bound to be consequences. Character wise, I certainly would not want someone like her, even the Ji-eun at the beggining of the first timeline, close to me. You can say that Tia was cold in the firsttimeline all you want, but she did pity Ji-eun. On the contrary, Ji-eun felt primarly jaleousy and inferiority complex toward her after only a few meetings, and just a little bit a guilt (first for becoming Empress and then for let the execution happen when she was innocent of the attack) AND kept this mindset after everything to the point of harrasing her in the second timeline.
Umm... I'm not saying jieun is good. She is indeed your dumb privileged teenager. I'm just saying that her emotions were more practical and justified. She is indeed dumb and choose a dumb path to seek revenge. But she did do everything in his capacity. And she had a lot of character development throughout the story. So I just felt that she deserved a better ending.
As for tia, her obsession on the emperor was on a whole new level. It felt like she never really resented his past actions, instead was scared of his hatred and longed for his love. So she was satisfied when he cleared her insecurities and made an oath of his undying love. I'm happy she found her happiness.
I just feel that others deserve their happiness too.
Another tick to the karma list lmao ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
