3- the Neuwansteins especially Jeremy will bear a great hatred towards the empress and the prince
4- the prince will feel the great guilt of not been able to do anything and will not have the courage to pursue his love.

I don't think it was the Crown Prince or the Queen. Yes, the Queen hates Shuri because she looks like the Crown Prince's mother. But I think the Cardinal is more suspicious:
1. A priest was conveniently there to show Jeremy the way.
2. The Crown Prince mentioned to the Cardinal that he was planning to take Shuri to the royal library
3. He looked way too happy with the news that Jeremy was in jail and that he would get the chance to make Shuri's life harder.
