honestly would’ve been a much better story if they kept the father alive and he married the mc. And she just became a step mom to the kid. I kinda just skimmed through a lot of chapters to see what direction it was heading. It appears like they meet up a couple times as she tries to protect him fr being taken advantage of just like she and her brother had been when their parents died when they were young. Then she goes on a mission and gets stuck in some type of time portal where 10 years pass in the real world while only a few minutes pass for the mc. So when they meet again he’s 18 and she 21. Still leaves a bad taste in my life even with the time skip. Honestly I also wouldn’t mind her getting together with the black hair dude she got time stuck with. He was really cute and it would’ve been cool to see an enemies to lovers arc as well.

Surprisingly a lot more wholesome than I initial thought. And it’s so funny to me how he carries her bridal style everywhere it’s like his daily workout at this point.
