This is sort of all over the place. I appreciate what the MC is going for? And the art is gorgeous. I think just her being the most perfect angelic being ever...that's boring. There's no clear direction; theres an end goal but it gets bounced around. And I'm still mad they made her skinny. Like c'mon the whole fat = evil trope is bullshit.
Totally agreed. About not having a plot and her body too.
"I became the ugly duckling/lady" yeah sure... For 1 day?
Not only the plot doesnt make sense but the title neither.
Also who tf is the male lead? Bc all the male characters are drawn as feminine or simply ugly that neither of them are suited for romance--
(The artist wants too much. I know the art is supposed to be pretty and the artist tries giving as many details as she can, but it would be much better if she made expressive facial expressions, rather than details. It reminds me of baroque arts: too much. I see its values and the talent in them, but its just too much. --anyways i dont try to trash-talk the artist if anyone wants to lecture me about that. It was an honest, professional observation, cut short. I'd still enjoy the manhwa with this art (art was never a stopping point for me) and i also see developments in expressiveness too. So yeah)
That's a really valid criticism though! You're right in that it is a bit much. Combined with the all over translations, it ends up making the story even less cohesive.
I'm also convinced there is no ML; I think it might be going for a reverse harem?
There is a lot of potential in the art and the series; it just needs to trim out some things.
I kinda wish this fantasy world included some licensed therapists.
Look, talking about trauma is hard, and it's even harder when you know you have to pick the "correct" answer. Like every time she's tried to come forward, he yells at her; he's slowly getting better but holy sweet christ on a fucking cracker.
Also lemme be an adult for a second: if you are feeling like you are wanting to talk, please reach out to someone. A professional, a good friend anyone. And if you feel like they aren't listening, or you have to give "correct" answers, you find someone else that will. Your feelings are valid, you deserve to be heard and just because you might have other circumstances does not lessen the validity of your feelings.
