im pretty sure he was executed and the bit where he is with the 5th prince is before he poisoned to kings food and was executed.

I know y'all are frustrated, but honestly this seems pretty realistic. Because relationships ARE confusing and frustrating. kudos to the writer/artist.
Also in my POV, it seems like the guy thats trying to support him is getting more and more anxious about their relationship, because although he's happy for him, when he looks at him, he doesn't seem happy to be doing the job. So because of that, he's been trying to make him feel comfortable about cameras and all that. But then soon after, the dude declines an offer and makes him feel like he's getting in the way of his career, which probably brings in more anxiety.
