And I think they're just a little upset because this is a really good bl that had no rape in it (which is really uncommon for bls) and was still so popular but out of nowhere, the author added the most unnecessary rape I've seen in a bl. Rape is never necessary but this was just out of nowhere.

I am so curious how they'll play it out though. Like how will this act of rape alter the plot?? Will they talk it out and will the guy apologize?? Will they have a whole new arc? Will the MC ever find out? Or will the story continue and act like nothing ever happened?

Because if the author handles this well, this could actually play out really well.

I think what makes it even worse though, was that he did it out of jealousy.

Fiction and reality cross each other all the damn time and there's proof of that, in these comments and just in social media in general. People cry over anime/manga/ books, thats reason one of how fiction affects reality. I seen people change their way of how they perceive the world after watch a show or read a book or anime or wtv, another reason as to how fiction affects reality. I saw a Reddit post of this guy who was really depressed and wanna to commit ******* but stopped himself because he enjoys watching one piece and wants to see the ending, yet another case of how fiction affects reality. The whole MHA Fandon shows you again how fiction affects reality. Cosplayers are a clear example how fiction affects reality. The way the whole world reacted to a certain jujustu kaisen anime character dying shows you how fiction affects reality (some people even bought stars for them, stars that cost money, their own money they worked in the real world for). There's some people reading this story right now who doesn't think that what that guy did wasnt rape, carry that into the real world and trust me that mindset can affect reality. they could do that to their partner of anyone (thinking it's not rape. it is.) or they could have it don't to them and still not like it but not complain about it cause 'it's not rape'. There are people who see black and white and there are people who notices that there's a grey area. In definition and just by looking at the chapter, its without a doubt rape for sure. That's only if you knew these characters from this one chapter alone. It's totally like they're great communicators totally right? For the past 50 sumthin chapters they've been COMMUNICATING PERFECTLY right? HELL NAH, they're shit at comns and this is a result of that, I'm just hoping in the future the author will revisit this topic and the characters grow from this. Their communication has been established to be so shit that I'd be impressed if they even discussed about consent on this hella specific scenario. Their thoughts on the matter has not been covered yet so we don't know what's their feelings. Its unfortunately quite easy for the author to twist this into dubcon. Since your opinion is that they're irredeemable, I highly recommend you steer clear then. Drop it and don't return ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
