If you read the author's other work it's pretty much the same thing all over again as far as drama, drama, drama!! On the other story I stopped reading it until it was finished because I was so frustrated with the uke!! Starting to feel the same frustration with this story as well. Love the art though it is very pretty!
I am going to finish this to the end but it is definitely not my favorite story from them!! Too much angst and drama plus too much rape and abuse!! I feel frustrated when I read this!! Not saying it's not gorgeous artwork really I think it's so good!! I am just mostly frustrated and feel that the uke is just a wimpy abused person!! The rape part made me really upset and was not resolved in a good way at all and now he is listening to the man who raped him repeatedly and tormented him, kidnapped him, and treated him so horribly well, I just don't get him at all!!! I know I am going to probably get some flack for calling him wimpy but he is just a doormat for these two men in his life!!
