Was expecting a “Tale of the Yellow Dragon,” but ended up with something more angsty & frustrating. The story is riveting- that is a feat in itself- but OOF the characters got me tripping. It’s a continuous game of chess, of tugs & withdrawals. There’s never a sense of stability & peace, which keeps me miserably on my toes. In other words, this story is WILD. I don’t trust any of the characters, which if that were the intended purpose then I suppose the story has succeeded quite nicely. Will update as soon as this whirlpool of hell does too
