Given how he will ruin his and his son's life for money, I'm surprised one of his "friends" still has a car. Either they somehow are really "friends," or they're looking to take their friend's son's money. I dont really care as long as they stay out of the picture unless as a side note as what he had to overcome to become the awesome guy he is. I feel so much sorrow for him, but I love Sohan.
There's been a lot of comments questioning if Ryohei's feelings are real and if he's not just thinking with his dick along with some sort of power trip. I just wanted to put my belated two cents and say I think their relationship is actually super romantic.
Not going to lie and say that there's not a weird dynamic because Yuuma's world seems to revolve around him, but Ryohei didn't fall in love because the sex was so good. In fact he states in the prequel that Yuuma kinda sucked, but he fell in love with the fact that Yuuma loved him without expecting anything in return.
Ryohei falls in love with Yuuma, wants Yuuma to hold him him to some expectations of a mutual relationship, worries about him, involves himself in his major life events, introduces Yuuma to his close friend who he thinks won't react negatively in front of Yuuma (personal interpretation), and sincerely thinks about a life living together. That sounds like someone who cares about the relationship.
Yuuma on the other hand gets less overt character development and stays true as a love struck person. He does learn to state his desires and grows comfortable with the idea of being in a mutual relationship. Doesn't change his personality or the fact that he's not just madly in love but is also still a huge fan of Ryohei's career in the band.
It feels like a grossly asymmetrical relationship but the weights are balancing out. There might not be sparks and fun chemistry, but these two are so sappy I can't see how they're not in love.
