We have to remember too, this isn't just any birthday, it's her 18th birthday. Her coming-of-age ceremony in which nobles make their first official appearances just having entered adulthood.
Why couldn't they have done it *at least* the day before or after, I'm sure they were aware of her birthday. And birthdays are that one specific date, you can't alter your birth date. The second prince is a petty little shit >:/
Btw. daddy Yve tsundere as ever
His majesty is finally awake and because of the flashbacks, I decided to reread from the beginning a little. And oh boy did I forget what Claude was like in the beginning.
Just to be clear, I'm going to be talking about the original Athanasia and Claude, pre-transmigration (first timeline). And I'm mainly focusing on their relationship and actions towards each other.
1. Athy
OG Athy has all my sympathy. Even though she was ignored by her biological father. And only ever had the one, Lilian, as her guardian/mother figure. She still grew up a kind soul. Even while being compared to with Jeannette by everyone around her, she still helped Jeannette with things regarding the palace. To make things worse, Jeannette got the one thing she longed for, her father's recognition. And the cherry on top? She was executed for a crime she didn't commit. Her father felt no remorse either. And because Lilian, the only person who really cared for Athy, claimed she was innocent -- she got executed as well. From start to finish she was just a kind girl who yearned for her father's love. She died when she was 18!! She just turned into a fucking adult and had her life cut short. Truly hope she rests in fictional peace.
2. Claude
Because of the passing of Diana, the light of his life. He decided to cut off all emotion, as to numb his feelings and forget about everything.
This results in him neglecting his child and thinking utterly nothing of her.
Wtffff Claude????? Oh but, "Sad back story boo hoo, I'm so emotionless someone has to melt my frozen heart ." That's not a valid excuse. When you decide have a child, no matter what the fuck happens, you take care of them. They didn't choose to be born, you made the decision to give birth to a life. Diana wouldn't have wanted you to do what you did, no decent mother would. If there was an example of what not to do, the first timeline would be a great example.
He's changed from the first timeline, yes. But does that mean I forgive him for what he did to the original Athy? No. His real daughter got nothing, because of his selfish actions, she lived a sad pitiful life.
Just my opinions though, Claude is hot, but he's an asshole. Ok bye
I want Kikuchi to be in a nice loving relationship with someone who loves him, and with someone he feels safe with. And I mean that 100% TLC, him and only him. I just hope he gets someone else (other than Shintani), that he can fully trust. I'm only reading this because of him at this point...
Sudo needs to go to fucking therapy, and to lay off on the drugs. He's clearly not ready to be in a healthy relationship. I get everyone's hatred for him, but we need to take into account the type of environment he grew up in. I would be surprised if he *didn't* have a few lose screws. All in all, get this man some help.
And Shintani just needs to fuck off and take care of his little sister to the fullest of his abilities. Little sis deserves better.
Their "love triangle" isn't healthy, so I just need him to stop. And I'm Kikuchi biased so ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭.
We all know Taehwan is probably end game, but I really like this Alex guy. I feel like with Alex, Yeonwu would feel more comfortable in his own skin. He did mention his sexual orientation vocally (for the first time) in front of Alex, and doesn't have to suppress his feelings. Not to mention Taehwan and Yeonwu's current toxic relationship.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing their relationship progress (though probably just as friends).
But, whatever makes Yeonwu happy I guess. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
By toxic, I meant that their relationship isn't a healthy one. At the beginning, Taehwan has stated that their relationship is purely a pleasure/lust one, aka they fuck buddies. Even if Taehwan knew Yeonwu liked him, he would've just broken off their relationship. He don't want that commitment.
Ok, maybe Yeonwu likes it a little rough, but even then, they haven't ever discussed how far things could go, or even a safe word in case things do go too far. The power dynamics are also a yikes. It's basically one sided.
I don't know about you, but that should br considered a toxic relationship.
It just hit me that if Aresh wasn't there to save Kendou, Kendou might've fucking died right then and there....
Oh well, since coincidentally, Aresh was at the right place and at the right time it doesn't matter. Can't believe Kendou got saved, laid, and then just went to work.
Oh, just found the English translated novel if anyone also wanted it:

I like that Kakeru isn't completely oblivious to Yamato's feelings, unlike most other "childhood friends to lovers" type shounen-ai. He's aware of Yamato's words and actions towards him. He just doesn't have enough self confidence to admit or infer and is trying to push all thoughts, that it might be mutual, into his subconscious mind.
It's actually pretty nice. Like, it's just a chill slice of life manga. I like that our MC doesn't have to be an adventurer or ridiculously strong to be interesting. Minor complaint is the fact that all the characters we're introduced to are cute anime girls...
I hope that it doesn't turn into a harem though. Just Sifa is fine, thank you.
