Reading this again many years after the first time and the rape scene really caught me off guard. While I understand it is a plot device, it was never talked about again outside of a nonchalant apology. Rape is very normalized is yaoi and it does not need to be. A character can have be angry and going through things emotionally without sexually assaulting their partner.
