Idea is really different and interesting but tbh the seme feels so infantile that I feel icky reading this. he acts like my dogs. he can’t recognize abuse and interprets everything his owners do as acceptable. can he really consent?
I’ve read a similar idea before and it was executed much better than this.

Tbh not seeing it as abuse can happen to people too. There’s a documentary(?) in yt about the little girl who called the police so she can tell them that her 2 little siblings were chained up in the bed by their parents. She was asked some questions and the fact that she doesn’t know what a street and medicine is because the younger kids never stepped outside the house and the parents never let them go to school anymore or was never. The reason why the 2 kids were chained up is because they were hungry and gotten more food for them. She explained what their parents been doing or the lack thereof to the police casually like it’s normal. Also the fact that some of her siblings and I think her too defended their parents in court because they were “doing what is best for us” which kinda broke my heart. They’re ok now and the parents went to jail.
Sorry for the rambling but tldr no, he can’t consent if he’s not aware or learn what is an abuse. Though it could happen to people irl

I thought they were childhood friends but uke got amnesia or something… the whole past life thing gives me feelings. I don’t really like scumbag semes.

Wait, hold up. ML is a bastard for what he did, but I think its because MC was about to leave him. Plus MC said something that incited ML’s anger, I actually facepalmed at what the MC said…like cmon, are you asking to be beaten?
The ML brother, yeahhhh revenge will happen but MC does not have the power to do so. ML will handle it.

I feel like you’re blame shifting a lot to the MC. So what if MC is not the “perfect” victim, whatever that means. Does he have to be Mother Theresa and forgive ML’s abuse?
I don’t want to argue with you. If you like the ML I’m not trying to convince you otherwise but I find it really weird that you’re implying MC is at fault for ML’s actions.

yeah hence the mixed feelings ;-; since MC doesn’t know about their past lives does he really get to consent to all this? I don’t know all the details since I only saw a few spoilers, but I’m rooting for MC to figure it out and get the agency to make his own informed choices.
It’s really hard bc ML seems to be the perfect doting husband in this life ;-; but I can’t see him the same
My theory is that *all* of them are real people. Remember how Bada mentioned he doesn’t remember who he was in the real world? My guess is that they entered the game planning to play some virtual mystery/horror. However, due some sort of glitch and to various players mistakes they kept having to repeat the game over and over until all of them lost their memories, even Bada who only remembered that he had to finish the game but not the rest of the details. Slowly due to maybe Bada’s actions Doha once again regained some of his instincts (knowing he had to kill the villager in the first run) but not necessarily knowing why he felt compelled to do something. I think when they’re acting as NPCs maybe the virtual machine has more control of them but once their consciousness is triggered that’s when they act OOC/outside of Bada’s predictions.
i actually like this theory too! noice
