For those who read the novel, I’m sure most of you could agree with me. I haven’t started reading the webtoon yet since I’m waiting for the snowman scene to be drawn. I don’t think I could take the pain of waiting for the next chapter until it’s past that scene. It truly broke me but was extremely necessary for them to properly grieve the loss of their child and move on together as a couple.
His redemption was no walk in the park, and he definitely redeemed himself (in my opinion). I think my favorite part of his redemption was that the whole time (which was going on for months if I’m not mistaken) they NEVER had sex, which I feel is really important. They ACTUALLY argued and talked the whole time. Each day brought up something different about how their relationship was and how it made her feel. Everything came out, even about how he felt and what he was thinking. He got rid of his pride and fought for her, but never pressured her, just listened. Unlike some other webtoons where the redemption is shit, too short or they fuck and then everything is automatically solved *cough* (betrayal of dignity) *cough* I feel this story did such an amazing job perfectly drawing out the characters emotions and really made you feel what they both were/are going through.
I can’t find another story with such a great redemption like this one. I just hope the webtoon does the novel justice because the novel really had me crying my eyes out it was that good. I could keep going with how great the writing was with this part of the novel, but I’ll keep it like this for now

Definitely a happy ending! It’ll just be emotional before getting to that point but everything comes together at the end.
Below is the link to the novel and side stories in case you wanted to read the ending yourself. I’m not sure where the webtoon is at in the novel, but the redemption starts around chapter 120, but I would start at around chapter 110 to understand what happened

…I’m a bit upset about how they changed this scene. I know the manhwas are different than the novel, but they didn’t have the change this part ( ̄へ ̄)
Going to reread this part in the novel to make myself feel better now (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

She doesn’t find out liz is behind it until a bit later in the novel.
After getting beaten almost to death, the kidnappers leave her in the basement once Cliff arrives to save his mom and Liz. She frees herself after a while and realizes that they just left her there. She then runs out and plans to leave the city. She finds out after roaming for a bit that they believe she’s a traitor. Since she’s beaten up badly, no one can recognize her unless they get really close and she covers her hair with a hood.
She doesn’t overhear any conversations. She has no interactions with anyone after she gets beaten until after she runs out of the place.
She finds out it’s Liz once she’s put in jail. But again, doesn’t happen for a while.

Nope. If I remember correctly, she was said to have been beaten so bad she was almost unrecognisable (her face swelled and all)
The plot progression and details during the scene was kinda different too. Can't remember the exact differences tho.
But I like how they included Cliff's POV during this scene~
And I don't remember FL hearing the convo. The way I remember it, she passed out due to the beatings and when she woke up, there was no one in the hide out (everyone left w/o checking the basement where she was tied up since Cliff only cared about retrieving Reize and his mother and didn't really bother to look for her). She then proceeded to leave after loosening her bonds and ran (hobbled) away

I wouldn’t say rescued, more like restrained. She hands herself over to authorities after deciding not to leave because she loves Kilian so much. She would rather die at his hands than have her freedom. She ends up behind bars and put on trial where she doesn’t fight for herself. Everything cones out and she’s eventually set free.
after kilian finds out what Liz was up to, they leave the estate and go to Kilians in the north.

Chapter 115 from Moonlight translations

This is exactly what I was waiting for in the kidnapped scene.
She was supposed to be beaten up so bad (the angst it gave) that it made her look unrecognizable. It was a key factor to why it was so hard to find her. So many aspects were taken away from the novel, it's honestly disappointing since it didn't give half the angst that the novel delivered.
But let's see ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

The whole thing is literally on another website. I don’t think the author cares anymore (though I highly doubt it). But if anyone else is concerned with it being on this website I can share the link to the other one. It’s been up since February ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Ok I didn’t really like this chapter.. I was looking forward to this scene since the novel is one of my favorites, but this chapter didn’t really sit well with me.
Hess always had a calm demeanor. In this scene, she reacted to Kael saying he wanted to stop attacking Diana very calmly. She wasn’t angry, it felt more like she was just sad and disappointed. But the one thing that never changed was her willingness to follow whatever Kael wanted, and this chapter didn’t follow that. It’s a slight character change and I didn’t like it.
Seeing her angry felt like I was watching a different characters reaction, it wasn’t Hess’ personality. And after talking with Kael, it was more of she’s just done and wanted to go back to her world, she wasn’t angry. And her little tantrum she has in this chapter was giving me second hand embarrassment because who tf acts like that Again, in the novel she automatically goes to reassuring Kael that she wasn’t planning on doing anything on the balcony.
My point is, her main focus is making sure Kael is happy and doing what he wants. She’s very selfless in this point of the book, so seeing her act selfish to this extent is just not her. It reminded me of how Diana acts, which is not Hess’ character. Another disappointment of a manhwa adaptation ruining another novel ╥﹏╥
I’m so glad you wrote this, because this chapter threw me off so badly. It’s a big WTF why after going after the temple, Kael suddenly wants to leave Diana alone… And even bigger WTF is why Hestia yells at him. Ok, I understand that she may feel betrayed, that after everything they’ve done to him he should see things through until the end, even more so with the bullshit Diana spewed right after the apology. But Hestia lashing out at Kael and saying she doesn’t want to see him again?? I call bullshit.
I think it's not about kael and Diana but just about her.
She saw him die a lot of time and she is also not originally from this world, I think the crashout is long over do, she has been holding a lot of stuff inside her heart and I think the stuff with Diana was just the tipping point. She feel like everything go back to Diana and she have no power anyway she feel foreign and lost in this world that isn't hers. It's not out of character she already had sign of near crash out before. Just this time I think it was to much for her.
Was just about to say I also think shes the only one who knows how shiesty Diana is and feels by just accepting the apology is glossin over alot especially considering Hess was kinda right cuz Diana wasn't genuine what so ever and was thinking she still got some kind of hold on Kael
Right!! I said the same thing. The “I don’t want to see you again” through me off so bad like Hestia would rather close off than say that to Kael of all people.
