Ugggg! I really hate this type of character and never understand what the author was thinking when they created them. Having such a bitchy personality makes me want to slap him hard twice and watch him choke to death. I'm sorry, not sorry (⌒▽⌒). No matter how much development he gets, I still can't stop the irk when I see characters like that (women and men both). At least he's a minor character, which is acceptable and doesn't ruin the story.
Ofc, if it’s an antagonist I don’t really mind, but if they’re the love candidate, the sidekick, or the ally, they should at least have a bit of a refined personality, lmao

Or is it one of the memory manipulations done to the MC? (Where the truth is kangjin actually dead)?
MAJOR SPOILER! kangjin died or atleast sacrificed himself in black portal after they cleared the great dungeon, that portal requires hero who only have gaia to enter, there were two options once you entered it and he chose the later since the first option needs him to fight which he can’t at that point and that decision led the great dungeon to reappear after 10 years

A major spoiler let me just make it clear, Kangjin went inside the black portal ( The black portal was optional but it was either to be fought or remain but if its not defeated the great dungeon will reappear ) Sadly, kangjin died meaning he wasnt able to defeat the black portal (╥﹏╥) leading to the present where the great dungeon reappeared huhu

I think if it were the old me reading this, maybe I’d be hooked by the plot, but the current me can’t stand the “I want her love so I’m going to take it by force” storyline. The girl goes through all sorts of trouble just to justify his actions and be so understanding. Because of that, the female lead ends up being tamed without much hassle. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Can someone share, why the og elliot's story got hate by the duke? Was it really bad or is there some kind of reasons?
Didn't they already say in the earlier chapters that the Duke hated the book written by og Elliot because it was about war and Elliot knew nothing about the trauma and horrors of war. The Duke clearly has PTSD and the way og Elliot "romanticized" wars must've felt very disrespectful and ignorant.
And considering the dukes influence the matter just went out of hand.

Yes, I was thinking that could be one of the endings, but what if the author wants to make something different, yk, like tragic and unpredictable? Shi-where ML really ends up killing him because he wants to comply with the MC’s wish, while the ML decides to kill himself out of love, lmao.
Or maybe the killer gets arrested before he can kill MC, orrrrr their roles get reversed (between the killer and the one that have dying wish), hahaha.
