Listen, i may not read rape/non-con because that's not my cup of tea, but for god's sake-it's fiction. What do you care if someone else reads it? Why do people make it a point of honor to repeatedly point out that something "sends a wrong message"?
Like, it's really not the radical feminist praxis you think it is. It's the opposite. It's patronizing and it's echoing sentiments of purity culture fanatics.
Adult women understand that rape is wrong (if you're a KID you shouldn't be here in the first place). They understand that excessive jealousy and possessiveness are not healthy. They know that some lines and actions in books/webtoons/manga or any media are sexist and abusive.
It doesn't change the fact that the phenomena of liking these things has nothing to do with what we condone as members of society. It's just a fantasy and those fantasies, as I said, are not "wrong" or "disgusting" or "weird" because they DON'T happen irl, no one gets hurt no one gets affected and those stories become likable to some for this very same reason. We dislike a crime and any form of abuse because it hurts us and others. That's not what's happening here.
The bottom line is this: it's perfectly fine to dislike whatever you want. It's fine to comment that you don't like certain tropes. We all have our hard limits and want to express ourselves. But please, don't go around making others feel weird or wrong for liking something you dislike , because if anything, this shows that you're the one with the problem and the lack of empathy.
It looks interesting, but the extreme abuse that is about to come is not particularly my cup of tea so I don't know if I'll continue reading this. The guy reminds me of Randall from outlander and it triggers my ptsd.
I don't think it deserves the low rating though, because the art is excellent and the plot is what it says it is. It even feels realistic considering the circumstances. Then again, the rating can be subjective.
If sadist x spy with the theme of World war is your cup of tea, you'll love this.
First of all, my favorite character in this story is the crown prince. Why? Because he's able to love unconditionaly, he's literally the healthiest character in the story.
Every single character in this story surpassed my expectations and the one who surprised me most is the villain Damian. I expected him to be your usual shallow villain that was a blind, ungrateful womanizer that used fl like all the other villains in second chance stories. Sure, the last part is true but damn! Turns out he's much more complex than that. Based on the small glimpses of his personality we had, he backround as a half blood made him grow into a resentful person unable to ever trust and genuinely love someone. Even in the past life where he killed Erin, i doubt he had any feelings for the other unfortunate but manipulative woman. He most likely just had a use for her since she was skilled and killed Erin for no other reason than to stop anyone from obtaining her power like the greedy sociopath he is. She was also a convenient excuse to gashlight and maintain Erin's insecurity and vulnerability until he could discard her. He is incapable of love, he can only feel obsession which is born from the ego. It's pure selfishness. He's a monster with all the meaning of the world, a cold blooded murderer, too narcissistic to ever understand what genuine love is.
As for our main characters, i love them both so much! Fl is really smart in a very realistic way and ml is a sweetheart. I love them together.
It's refreshing to see all characters in a story have a personality and thinking on their own. It makes the story feel alive.
From start to end he's been a selfish bastard. I hate him. The least he could do, was let her find peace and let her reincarnate or something, not force her to go through her trauma all over again just because he suddenly realized he can't live without her. She's not a convenient toy for that male trashcan, she's a human being with limits and boundaries he keeps on stepping over. She deserves to live her life freely. Forcing someone to 'forgive' you and stay with you just because you say you'll 'change' is the biggest violation to the soul. It doesn't matter if he indeed changed(he hasn't, he's still selfish and tries to use her, disregarding her will, all because he now needs her), no one should be forced to forgive their abuser. And yes, he did abuse her. He emotionally manipulated her so he could deal with his duties as an emperor and then let her be disposed off like a pawn. He's disgusting. Period. I hope she'll never forgive him, he deserves to suffer. Although i doubt this will happen.
I can't handle this... Please don't butcher our cinnamon roll greenflag Anyone but him
This is going to be a nightmare. I mean, it was obvious from the start that this story was basically going to be a psychological thriller, but damn, her future really feels ominous. I don't wanna know what will happen to her. Torture arc is approaching... Perhaps we'll get some character development with it at least. Either way, I don't want her to suffer. She's annoyingly naive (like her original life) but innocent. She doesn't deserve to live like this.
Jiwan is NOT like his mother. His mother was the victim. He's just like his FATHER. His father was just as delusional, isolating and trapping his wife until her mental health declined and she killed herself. Delusion does run in the family, from his father's side that is. Mc really needs to run, leave town if possible. This isn't gonna end well.
Please note that's she's a victim of continual abuse and manipulation and it's not easy to get out of this circle, especially if you literally have NO ONE to advice and support you in your life. People who blame her for it have never been through something like this or they wouldn't lack so much empathy over her situation. She was gashlighted and taken advantage of by a narcissist her whole damn life. I'm speaking as an ex victim of a narcissist. Only i was lucky enough to have someone to support and guide me, but it was hard even with all the support. Please try to be more understanding.
