maybe had kiera go back to the time when she was a baby like claude's daughter did, maybe he wouldn't be this unlikable. just maybe. but even then, claude seems to have much more justifiable reason to hate athanasia because her birth cause his love to die, actually even the pregnancy was eating her away (this is still horrible but it makes more sense)
but keira's dad's reason to hate her? she's not blonde with red eyes like him? so she's a bastard to him? that's an asshole reasoning.

and while claude is defo asshole at first, he never doubted for a second that athanasia is his daughter (although he did say he never consider athanasia as his daughter in the past life but this has something to do with him intentionally losing his memory of his wife + daughter). maybe that's what makes him more likeable than kiera's dad.

Agreed! I don’t think much would’ve been changed between the the relationship of Keira and her father as it had with Athy and Claude. Keira tried really hard as seen in the glimpse of the flashbacks, she was adorable and loving and respectful, but the father simply didn’t care. If she had gone back to her baby ways, there was literally nothing she could’ve done to make him “like” her.

Actually he has the right to do so, imagine someone you loved and be loyal disappeared without a trace and crying and suffering from loneliness for years and from the moment he said he was gonna leave then the rational decision is to fill the emptiness inside you by moving on and find someone new then suddenly you found someone who's been there for you every since you struggle and then your past lover just suddenly appears just when you started to feel happy (no one in this story has a fault or get blamed because non of them did nothing wrong...)
