The Dark Prince Is Hard To Please
was actually a cute ass story. the problem? the ending! it was so rushed and unpredictable omfg OFHSISJJD
they didn't even give the readers the proper explanation as to why and how we ended up in that particular ending. it was never even hinted the whole time i was reading this stupid story. it was completely out of the left field and i'm frustrated.
The Stereotypical Life of a Reincarnated Lady
It's a cute story about a noble lady who was reincarnated and wanted to become a genius magician. However, her teacher (who was one of the very rare magicians to ever exist in their world) gave her an ominous warning that signified inevitable danger. After that, he promptly left the traumatized child to fend for herself. Because of her fear, she decided to no longer pursue her previous dreams and live a quiet life. It seemed like fate has other plans and she gets caught in a messy situation anyway.
I love how creative they integrated isekai in their plot. I also find the unique way that the artist(s) drew the pupils of their characters really charming.
I have nothing much to say, but I assure you that it's a story that good for passing time. (。•ᴗ-)✧
I Choose the Emperor Ending
I don't know if it's the universe continually giving me signs, but I accidentally stumbled upon another strong female lead and a story with interesting critiques when it came to societal expectations of women.
Again, binged it all in one day. The art is something that I'm thankful for. I've been desperately searching for another binge that has a good art style and plot. The last few webtoons I've read only had either one of the two. I'm pleased to finally find one that has both.
The plot was interesting. I am just confused when it comes to the ending. I think it would have been more impactful if the main character chose a more logical path. I like the commentary about how the protagonist's internalized biases against women became her own cross to carry in the later part of the story. However, it did come randomly, at least for me. I never thought that it'll be a part of the story line in any shape or form. Still, I can't help but feel happy for that kind of development.
It's a fun story all in all ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
I Became a Dead Character in a Prison for Wastes (Promo)
I'M CRYING THE ART WAS SO GOOD WHY IS IT ONLY ONE CHAPTER
The Hero is Standing in my Way
It's a cute light read. I binged it all within a day and I'm glad to have finished it. The art was the main reason as to why I decided to read it and it didn't disappoint. The sceneries and characters are all drawn with great detail. You could tell that the artists took that extra time to make everything look just as magical as the story.
For the plot, this one I could definitely say isn't your common isekai story. I love the twist that they added to this very saturated genre of webtoons and I'm glad that they did it. That one little change made all the difference when it came to experiencing the story.
It's a good read overall and I fully recommend it. The female protagonist in this story is a strong swordsman too. I think the amount that she saved the male protagonist, despite him being this great war soldier, is greater than the times she was saved by anyone. She's another capable woman and I'm glad to have encountered a similar female lead as the previous one I've binged.
The Precious Sister of The Villainous Grand Duke
I initially thought that the story might be fun only to realized that it's about a borderline incest romance between the two leads. I guess they're not blood related, but there has to be some moral issues when it comes to romancing your adoptive (not exactly but it's the best way to describe their situation) sibling
Emperor And The Female Knight
The perfect example of a story that has a strong female protagonist. Knowing that it was based on a famous novel, I already knew that the plot was going to be top-notch. It was refreshing to see a manhwa that puts forward a female lead that was not valued for her looks whatsoever. Instead, she's respected because of the capabilities and skills she has built with years of perseverance within the military.
I initially didn't want to finish the series since a lot of misogynism that she faces just hit way to close to home. I felt incredibly discouraged and uncomfortable while reading the series and finished it way slower than others. I didn't realize the reason as to why I'm acting this way in the beginning. After figuring out the reason though, I returned to reading it with brand new vigor and perspective. Let's just say that I don't regret pushing through it. I actually enjoyed this a lot.
The artists who were given this project also did the novel justice. I especially loved how Lucius became the main visual of the couple. He was the charming and pretty one and I absolutely love that for him. He knew how attractive he looked too (๑¯◡¯๑)
When the Villainess Loves
This is unexpectedly an amazing read. I even forgot that I've included it in my library. I was running out of webtoons to start and it did not disappoint. I think that by this point it is pretty obvious that I'm a b*tch for plots, but the illustrations on this is immaculate. I was surprised on how detailed and beautiful it got towards the end. I didn't realized that the panels were getting better until it was too impossible not to.
Plot wise... I guess I missed binging webtoons too much and gassed myself to a point where I was so immersed in the events within the story, that I barely realized how the plot started to get real messy towards the end. The plot twist genuinely made me cry. Even before fully finishing the webtoon, I wanted to give it a five. However, now that time has passed I realized how big of a plot hole they've left and felt that it was unfair to give it such a score.
